Glide64 Napalm WX R1

EmuCR:Glide64Glide64 Napalm WX R1 is released.Glide64 is a graphics plugin for N64 emulators such as Project64, 1964 and Mupen64. It uses the 3dfx Glide3x API, and it supports many games. If you don't have a 3dfx card, you can use a Glide Wrapper.

Glide64 Napalm WX R1 changes:
1. Glide64 (the plugin)
- As usual, tons of fixes in many games. It's impossible to list them all.
- New microcode implemented: "zSort". All games and demos based on this microcode now work.
- New user interface layout. All settings are now in one interface, including wrapper settings.
- 3 screen shot formats: BMP, PNG, JPEG.
- 3 screen aspect modes: 4:3, 16:9, Stretch.
2. GlideHQ (the texture enhancer)
- Bugfixes and optimizations.
- Added "Store" mode to cache all textures without modifications. Since texture cache is persistent and automatically loaded with the game, it improves plugin's performance as N64 textures must be converted into an internal format only once.
3. Glitch64 (the glide wrapper)
- Removed user interface.
- Removed support for old cards. Your video card MUST support shaders.
- Removed obsolete options.
- Bugfixes and optimizations.

Glitch64 SVN r41

Glitch64 SVN r41 is released.GlideHQ is a realtime texture enhancer library with hi-resolution texture pack support for Glide64.Glitch64 is the recommended Glide3x wrapper for Glide64, the Glide video plugin for N64 emulators. It currently supports S3TC texture compression, anisotropic filtering, widescreen resolutions and simulates almost all the Glide3x hardware capabilities used by the plugin, included texture buffer capability (needed for render to texture). It is coded using the OpenGL API and uses GLSL shaders.

Traditional and non-traditional techniques have been used to achieve speed and high image quality even on a 9 year old 3Dfx Voodoo2. Although the 3Dfx Glide3x texture format naming conventions are used, the library can be expanded for generic use. The library supports 6 enhancers and 6 image filters. FXT1 and S3TC texture compression are supported.

PCSX2 SVN r1656

EmuCR:PS2 emulatorPCSX2 SVN r1656 is released.PCSX2 is a PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

PCSX2 SVN Changelog:
r1651
microVU: minor changes...
r1652
microVU: 70% implemented Branch in Branch Delay Slots. Hopefully I'll finish tomorrow.
Compare Star Ocean 3 intro with mVU vs sVU, and you can see mVU now correctly renders the title menu/new game startup screen =)
r1653
Tags.h meets SPR.cpp. Plus some more work on Tags.h and Misc...
r1654
microVU: Finished properly supporting branch in branch delay slots.
r1655
pcsx2: removed some warnings from the new dma tag code.
r1656
Disabled precompiled headers for release builds. This fixes the random crash introduced 2 revisions ago (caused by some crappy IPU code we need to eventually get rid of)
Since the IPU code randomly works/breaks with different changes to pcsx2, eventually we'll be able to re-enable PCH.

WinUAE v1.6.2 Beta 8

EmuCR:WinUAEWinUAE v1.6.2 Beta 8 is released.Winuae is the commodore amiga emulator for Windows. WinUAE is a mostly complete software emulation of the hardware of the Commodore Amiga 500/1000/2000. A Commodore Amiga, for those who don’t know, is a 16/32 bit computer system based on the Motorola 680×0 CPU and a few specially designed custom chips that provide very good graphics and sound capabilities. Its first incarnation, the A1000, appeared in 1985, followed by the highly successful A500 and A2000 models. WinUAE is a port of the originally written for Unixish systems UAE; but over time, it seems the Windows port, WinUAE has become the best version available on any platform. WinUAE is free software: you are welcome to distribute copies of it and/or modify it, under certain conditions. There is no warranty of any kind for UAE. For more details concerning these issues, please read the GNU General Public License, which describes the terms under which WinUAE is distributed.

WinUAE v1.6.2 Beta 8 changelog:
- unaligned word/long accesses emulated (68020 always fetches aligned longs, two accesses required if for example word is fetched from address 3)
- emulate 68020 instruction cache logic as documented in 68020 manual, cache hits are free, cache misses require normal, possibly slow chip ram fetch
- approximate emulation of 68020 prefetch buffer, more compatible with self-modifying code
- very approximate 68020 MUL/DIV cycle usage added
- 68030/040/060 also supported in "020CE" mode. Not totally useless because this can mean more compatible HD installed games by switching between JIT and "CE" mode on the fly using uae-configuration. (switching between CPU types on the fly isn't very good idea..)
Note that 68020 "CE" is still too fast (CPU internal calculations are not counted yet) but this is 100x better than previously because memory fetches are emulated, too fast CPU chip memory accesses and too fast blitter was the most common cause for problems.
- CD32 drive command communication and interrupt handling rewritten, should now match real hardware (I think..) At least Brian the Lion CD32 works again..
- NTSC mode shouldn't jump anymore
- automatic vsync mode on the fly switching between 50Hz and 60Hz screen modes if refresh rate is supported, disable vsync temporarily if rate not supported (until switching back to supported rate)
- Superstardust AGA weapon panel breaks if 1 extra BPLCON0 delay cycle added. Obviously previous fix wasn't right.. Lets try something else, add extra cycle if first bpl dma cycle is allocated (8 planes)
