  1. Good to see it resurrection again. Dolphin is the best for both games. This is great for Game Cube games only.

    1. Dolphin is just crap. After they release WII and WIIU, Gamecube games never had any fix since for ages.

    2. Lol, you must be running it on a Macbook, Dolphin runs great. Not sure what you're smoking.

    3. I don´t care foxwhisper04, i care they only are working on the newest consoles. Gamecube continue to have the same errors on a few games each day after day, the same parts got errors, so i don´t have the excusse to report those errors, they should test them and fix it.

    4. Yeah. I can partially vouch for what the good Panda 🐼 bear said. Since after the end of March 2015 the Star Wars Rogue Squadron got a new in-mission crash error while on dual-core mode which is necessary for smoother performance. Check their April 2015 blog report.
And this is only after the end of January 2015 when they'd finally fixed the z-freeze problem for those games.
I am only feeling a bit of apathy towards the dev team - it's like they continue to ignore the really awesome games that ARE NOT remotely Nintendo-like!

    5. It least they are trying....

    6. Yes. I may have to wait for further fixes to the problems I mentioned by the end of this year or sometime next year. But luckily I've got the old monthly builds from earlier this year. Really good in hindsight!

    7. You are right Egon L. They fix games, but don´t get attention to other systems cause bug reports. Dolphin should be released in 3 Different emulators. One for Wii, other for Wiiu and other for Gamecube. That is the problem i don´t get it right for the emulator. I just want Gamecube games, and not the other systems.
I think Gamecube is not so compatible with WII and U games.
Like the same happens to XBOX, XBOX 360 and XBOX One, compatibility mode is just trash. Put over and over the same emulator in one single program. Playstation is the only one working ok. PS have epsxe, PS2 have PCSX2 and so on... They are just different specs. KEGA emulator from Megadrive works all systems, because they just seperate the emulators, like Demul does now.

      Delete
    8. Demul just crash if we try to load a secound game after stop a nother one. We need to close the window and run the emu again. That is the reason emulators must running separated.

I hope you guys undestand my logic.

  2. Dolphin emulator works great on my Macbook Pro. This emulator is great for people who do not have Wii with Game Cube built in. Someday this emulator will be great like a Dolphin emulator. Have an open heart and open mind. AnimalBear. :)

    1. Is not about running the games anjospot. It's about those errors appear on the gameplay and i need to close down the emulator that's all.
We need to press the small window bug report many times ok, and the emu just crash :(

    2. Those are the parts dolphin devs don´t get attention, they can fix a few things on wii or wiiu but gamecube suffer next with bug reports.

    4. Sorry but you are a fanboy don´t understand anything at all. Please go away. Thank you.

    5. AnimalBear, I'm going to have to disagree with you on many things.

1.) You claim that Dolphin is poorly coded and fails to run games correctly, yet you have failed to give further information. What system are you running this on? What build are you running? Have you tried messing with the numerous settings and/or checking the wiki guides available for any tweaks that may resolve your issue(s)?

2.) Dolphin should not be split into multiple emulators. For starters, the same architecture was used in the GC and Wii, while the Wii U uses a completely different backend that will probably need many years to have development support in emulation. The system files for dumping games and what not are simply not available, and the architecture is much more complex. The GC and Wii both use the same backend and x86 architecture, so emulation works well on fixing multiple issues at once.

3.) Your arguments have very little support or evidence, and often result in you claiming "you are right because...".

4.) You are quick to talk trash about people doing unpaid development work, claiming it needs to be their proghtive to solve specific issues on specific games and they should and need to take into account any issue that you may have. This simply isn't the case. These are unpaid developers doing what they want and how they want. They could stop or start doing work at any point, and have no obligation to "pay attention" to fix your issues.

      Delete
    6. Also, just want to throw it out there... If you are having issues with specific games and refuse to acknowledge that this is a good emulator, there are other options + the option to fix it yourself. Dolphin is an open-source project. If you throw a couple commits in and they are quality work, they will be pushed to the master branch and eventually a stable build.

      Delete
    7. Jeffrey you didn´t understand what i'm saying. Please test the games and you will see crashes ingame.

      Delete
    8. I have. I'm using the latest dev builds. I suggest you delve further into this topic, thus getting a better understanding of what you are proclaiming.

      Delete
    9. For example when i play Virtua Striker 3, always appear in the 2nd game or 3rd game a small window report a crash freeze and the game stop working. Now you have it.

      Delete
    10. That game, for example, has been tested on multiple stable and dev builds here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Virtua_Striker_2002

Again, your issues probably have to do with either:
      -Poor system specs/on-board graphics chip
-Not tweaking internal settings of emulator for best performance on your system
-Not using latest builds (stable or dev)

It's easy to say "I have a problem playing this game". It's more challenging to say, "The reason x game is having issues is because...". You aren't willing to delve further into your issues, but enjoy spending immense amount of time dedicating to telling folks that this emulator is piss-poor.

Furthermore, initial comments by you that Dolwin is better than Dolphin, is pretty funny. It's again, pretty difficult to compare an emulator such as Dolwin, to Dolphin. Dolphin has been around for a decade, and has had pretty active development work done for the last 7 years. It's been open-source for over half a decade. Comparing that to an emulator like Dolwin is... Apples and oranges.

When saying something is wrong with Dolphin, you need to give system specs, and information about the build you are using to come up with a conclusion. What if you got a bad dump on the ISO? It may not even be Dolphin's fault. What if your system specs are piss-poor and not supported well? What if you are using an out-dated build, such as 3.5 or before? What if you have settings on OpenGL and frame-skip, instead of DirectX11 and no frame skip? I mean, there are numerous variables to account for, and instead of giving anything... You have named the game in question that you are having issues running, but that's about it.

      Delete
    11. I didn´t say dolwin is better than dophin, you are smoking a lot!

      Delete
    12. You are in a Dolwin comments section complaining about issues with Dolphin. I think it's pretty obvious that you have some serious (and highly unjustified) issues with Dolphin and the development team behind that project. Perhaps you are the one who is off his/her meds.

      Delete
    13. Also, that wiki entry clearly states that the game will crash on default settings, and you need to toggle it to one CPU and not multi-core. Had you of done any prior research, you would have known this.

      Delete
    14. People on the internet, doing research? I didn't think people still did that. Had he done so, his claims would have been more substantiated

      Delete
    15. Yeah, I tend to give people more credit for intelligence than they deserve. I had thought that our friend, AnimalBear, would have made some connections and understand what I was noting. Unfortunately, it's quite the opposite.
