Mameinfo.dat v0.257 is released. detailed mame game information (including version added, number of players, game status, cpu/audio chips, display info and maws hall of fame ratings). Provides Recommended Games for GameEx.
WolfMame v0.257 is released. WolfMAME is a build which is optomised for MARP - MAME Action Replay Page, where literally thousands of MAME fans play, save and upload highscore attempts. WolfMAME does not allow the player to pause games, use cheats, change DIP switches etc to gain an unfair advantage.
MAMEUI Classic 0.257 is released. MameUI [formerly Mame32] is the GUI version of the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator, a program which seeks to document the internal hardware and code of all arcade games. Originally authored in 1997 by Chris Kirmse, it was the first port of Mame™ to the Windows platform.
ARCADE v0.257 is released. ARCADE is a derivative unofficial build based on the MAMEUIFX source code. MAMEUIFX has more improvements over regular MAME.
MAME v0.257 is released. MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. When used in conjunction with images of the original arcade game's ROM and disk data, MAME attempts to reproduce that game as faithfully as possible on a more modern general-purpose computer. MAME can currently emulate several thousand different classic arcade video games from the late 1970s through the modern era.
WinVICE r44336 is released. WinVICE is a program that executes programs intended for the old 8-bit computers. The current version emulates the C64, the C128, the VIC20, all the PET models (except the SuperPET 9000, which is out of line anyway), the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610).
Vita3K Git (2023/07/28) is compiled. Vita3K is an experimental PlayStation Vita emulator for Windows, Linux and macOS. The emulator currently runs a few homebrew programs in .vpk format. No commercial games are playable.
XEMU v0.7.106 is released. xemu is an open-source, cross-platform application that emulates the hardware of the original Xbox game console, allowing users to play their Xbox games on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. This project is focused on making significant forward progress in terms of features, performance, stability, and user experience in Xbox emulation. This project is an active fork of the XQEMU project, which is based on the very popular and highly actively maintained QEMU full system emulator project.
Cxbx Reloaded (2023/07/28) is released. Cxbx-Reloaded is an emulator for running Microsoft Xbox (and eventually, Chihiro) games on Microsoft Windows. The project began life as a fork of Cxbx with added 64-bit support. Work is currently underway to backport some of the improvements from Dxbx. Cxbx-Reloaded is still pretty unstable, don't expect it to run much at this point.
