DOSBox SVN r3650 is released. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD. However, it is not restricted to running only games. In theory, any MS-DOS or PC-DOS (referred to commonly as "DOS") application should run in DOSBox, but the emphasis has been on getting DOS games to run smoothly, which means that communication, networking and printer support are still in early development.

DU Update: Bringing Sexy Bootleg Back (2010-10-17)
I got a bootleg of Sunsetriders called Sunsetriders II. From a quick look it looks like an updated version of the ssridersb set in MAME. I don't know what all they changed but it doesn't look like it was very much. ANY got a bootleg of Arlington Horse Racing called Horse and f205v got a bootleg of Dragon Ninja.
Mednaffe v0.2
Mednaffe v0.2 is released. Mednaffe is a front-end (GUI) for Mednafen emulator. It's written in Object Pascal with Free Pascal compiler and Lazarus RAD.
PCSP v0.4.0 progress update (2010-10-17)
While PCSP progress is coming along slowly , there are actually some improvements that make some games work bettter. Today it's Evangelion Jo game that shows interest progress :)
Note that game can't be consider playable since it's slow and Font library isn't emulate but it is still good progress :)

MESS SVN r9408
MESS SVN r9408 is released. MESS(Multi Emulator Super System) is an open source emulator which emulates a large variety of different systems. MESS is a source-available project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.
