puNES v0.24

puNES v0.24 is released. puNES is a NES emulator. Currently the program supports mappers 0, MMC1, UNROM, CNROM, but the sound is not yet available. It uses the SDL libraries and it works on both Linux and Windows.

Altirra 2.0 Test 11

Altirra 2.0 Test 11 is released. Altirra is an Atari 8 bit Emulator on the Windows/DOS platform. Altirra emulates several models of the 8-bit Atari computers. This includes the the 800, 800XL, and 130XE versions. It has a lot of options, and compatibility is decent especially given the emulator's early stages. It also supports some copy protected games properly in emulation.

CXMB for 3.71-6.39 v2

CXMB for 3.71-6.39 v2 is released. CXMB is a custom firmware plugin that allows users to install custom XMB themes in CTF format straight from Memory Stick. An Asian developer known as Patpat has released a version of the popular plugin CXMB (Custom XMB) compatible with 6.20 TN-A. This plugin will allow users using the HEN to install custom .ctf themes instead of the regular old PSP theme or other official themes.

VBANext-PS3 20110712 is released. VBANext-PS3 is a port of VBA to PS3. VBANext-PS3 aims to be a faster, slimmed-down version of VBA-M that is suitable for use on platforms such as consoles and handhelds. VBANext is the successor to VBA PS3 for the PlayStation3 platform. VBA PS3 as of this moment is made obsolete.

MESS SVN r12211

MESS SVN r12211 is released. MESS(Multi Emulator Super System) is an open source emulator which emulates a large variety of different systems. MESS is a source-available project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.
