Ootake v2.62 is released. Ootake is a PC Engine emulator for Windows. Ootake is the most frequently updated PC Engine emulator available for windows, and Ootake is also one of the more complete. Also, Ootake is FREE unlike Magic Engine.

Fake86 v0.11.10.26 Test

Fake86 v0.11.10.26 Test is released. Fake86 is an 8086 PC emulator written in C. It is written from scratch, including the CPU core and has been under development since October 2010. It was originally written in FreeBASIC, however I have since re-written it in C for greater speed and portability.

For a while, I haven't been happy with the M6502 core we are using. Most drivers that use it require little hacks to make things work, and I firmly believe that it is holding up adding sound to the DEC-0 driver as the IRQs from the YM chip and the NMIs from the main CPU compete, which makes the YM chip stop generating the IRQs, and hence no sound.

PCSX2 SVN r4961 is released. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

Bochs v2.5 PRE 1

Bochs v2.5 PRE 1 is released. Bochs is a highly portable open source IA-32 (x86) PC emulator written in C++, that runs on most popular platforms. It includes emulation of the Intel x86 CPU, common I/O devices, and a custom BIOS. Currently, Bochs can be compiled to emulate a 386, 486, Pentium/PentiumII/PentiumIII/Pentium4 or x86-64 CPU including optional MMX, SSEx and 3DNow! instructions.

Surreal64 CE B5.52u

Surreal64 CE B5.52u is released. Surreal64 CE is a continuation of the Surreal64 project where Team XXX left off. Originally developed by oDD and Lantus, Surreal64 included ports of three Win32 based Nintendo64 emulators including 1964, Project64 and UltraHLE.

Gens-ReRecording SVN r301

Gens-ReRecording SVN r301 is released. Gens Rerecording, formerly known as Gens Movie Test, is a modification of the highly popular Gens emulator. This modification includes slowdown, recording and playback of controller input logs, dumping of AVI files, and Lua scripting. This emulator is primarily used by the Nesvideos community.

DeSmuME SVN r4121

DeSmuME SVN r4121 is released. DeSmuME is an open source Nintendo DS(NDS) emulator for Linux, Mac OS and Windows. DeSmuME supports save states, the ability to increase the size of the screen and it supports filters to improve image quality. DeSmuME also supports microphone use on Windows and Linux ports, as well as direct video and audio recording. The emulator also features a built-in movie recorder.

Altirra 2.0 Test 50

Altirra 2.0 Test 50 is released. Altirra is an Atari 8 bit Emulator on the Windows/DOS platform. Altirra emulates several models of the 8-bit Atari computers. This includes the the 800, 800XL, and 130XE versions. It has a lot of options, and compatibility is decent especially given the emulator's early stages. It also supports some copy protected games properly in emulation.

bsnes v084 is released. bsnes is an emulator for the Super Famicom and SNES video game systems. The purpose of the emulator is a bit different from other emulators: it focuses on accuracy, debugging functionality, and clean code.

HalfNES v0.041

HalfNES v0.041 is released. HalfNES is an open-source emulator for the Nintendo Entertainment System, written in Java. Currently, it only runs as a standalone Java SE application.

MESS SVN r13187

MESS SVN r13187 is released. MESS(Multi Emulator Super System) is an open source emulator which emulates a large variety of different systems. MESS is a source-available project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.
