NEWS - Cool WIP: Off-Road Challenge now playable (2012/06/17)

A new contributor (Daniel Filner) got in touch with Aaron with some math fixes for the TMS3203x which corrected the polygon graphics in Off-Road Challenge so it's playable now. Very cool!

TilEm v2.0

EmuCR: TilEmTilEm v2.0 is released. TilEm is an emulator for the Z80 series of Texas Instruments graphing calculators. It supports all of the existing models in this series (TI-73, TI-76.fr, TI-81, TI-82, TI-83, TI-83 Plus, TI-84 Plus, TI-85, and TI-86.) TilEm features detailed emulation of all aspects of the calculator hardware, and includes a debugger for writing assembly programs.

Dream64 v0.72b

EmuCR: Dream64Dream64 v0.72b is released. Dream64 is a C64 emulator for Windows. Dream 64 is another C64 Emulator developped at spare time on spring 2008 by tprodigy1 (french developper). It is designed for Windows (XP/Vista/Seven) with DirectX installed. Dream64 is totally free, and developped just for fun. It can run most commercial games and a lot of tricky demos, by the way it is not yet as compatible as great emulators like Hoxs64 or CCS64 (my favorites, see links section).

Fceux SVN r2529

EmuCR:FceuxFceux SVN r2529 is compiled. FCEUX is a cross platform, NTSC and PAL Famicom/NES emulator that is an evolution of the original FCE Ultra emulator. Over time FCE Ultra had separated into many separate branches. The concept behind FCEUX is to merge elements from FCE Ultra, FCEU rerecording, FCEUXD, FCEUXDSP, and FCEU-mm into a single branch of FCEU. As the X implies, it is an all-encompassing FCEU emulator that gives the best of all worlds for the general player, the ROM-hacking community, and the Tool-Assisted Speedrun Community.

MAME SVN r16635

MAMEMAME SVN r16635 is compiled. MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. When used in conjunction with images of the original arcade game's ROM and disk data, MAME attempts to reproduce that game as faithfully as possible on a more modern general-purpose computer. MAME can currently emulate several thousand different classic arcade video games from the late 1970s through the modern era.

WiiMC v1.2.9

EmuCR:WiiMC WiiMC v1.2.9 is released. WiiMC is an open source media player for the Nintendo Wii. The GUI is powered by libwiigui.

MESS SVN r15471

EmuCR: MESSMESS SVN r15471 is compiled. MESS(Multi Emulator Super System) is an open source emulator which emulates a large variety of different systems. MESS is a source-available project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.
