1964mod v1.4.8 Final

EmuCR: 1964mod1964mod v1.4.8 Final is released. 1964mod is a N64 emulator using the codes from original 1964 by Schibo & Rice. It is not created as a replacement to the original 1964 emulator. Hopefully, its enhancement will benefit people who loves the original 1964. 1964mod is currently at an early stage of experimentation & development. It is used as a learning platform to improve my programming knowledge and skills.

  1. I don't think you know how to read changelog.
When something is fixed, it could be an issue that originates from Glide64 source or MyGlide64 itself. It is outstanding in Glide64(simple) - that issue is still not resolved.

Which emulator/plugin doesn't have hacks - start reading source codes before you comment. You can always wait for a perfect emulator/plugin and nobody ask you to use 1964mod or MyGlide64 for that matter.

So long as 1964mod users feel good using it, it doesn't matter if it is resolved by hack or not. Either you are blind or plain stupid - can you see Tempfix.

Go and program a perfect emulator/plugin without any hack before you start making stupid comment and make yourself look like an idiot.

  2. Even if Bsnes doesn't have hacks(I assume you guys have inspected the codes thoroughly otherwise you will be a real idiot) in it , it is just one developer.
You guys are insulting all other developers which is really shame on you.
It is so easy to criticize because you could not program an emulator/plugin without hacks.
Anyway, you guys are too free and has nothing better to do.
Yeah, you're right - go bite your own dicks.
EmuCR doesn't belong to me, you can carry on with your bitching - have fun!

  3. I have no idea where to contact the author, pokemaniacs, or report issues so I'm going to post it here..

I can't get hires textures to work. Doesn't work in latest glide64 revisions either, but the Napalm WX release works fine for me.

Also, every time I start up a game I have to press num (*) in order to restore normal speed, otherwise it goes up to 200 fps.

  4. You can start by going to my homesite https://sites.google.com/site/1964mod/ and read the "FAQ" section and "1964mod_Readme" and "Instruction_Manual".

I am very sure it works. Post back if you need further help.

  5. Hi, I found a way to fix the flashing menus in Top Gear Overdrive. I just change the Counter Factor from CF=1 to CF=2 and it got fix!
By the way, Castlevania's core compiler needs to be change from Dyna-compiler to Interpreter or the game will freeze after the burn tree at the beginning of the first stage.
Another bug I found (at least for me), when the Max VI Limit is set either to NTSC 60 or PAL 50 the games run away too fast (80~120 VI/s). Only when I choose auto-sync they run at normal speed.

That's all for now. I will send you another email if I find something else.

  6. I've read the materials.

If I put in the Napalm WX release into 1964mod I get my hires textures. Using MyGlide64 with the same exact settings under the "texture enhancement" tab, it doesn't work.

    Win 7 64
    AMD Phenom x2
    Radeon HD 5770

Is there somewhere more official to report issues?

I remove my forum because no one seems interested in reporting bugs for 1964mod or MyGlide64.

It is probably because there are better emulator which N64 users are using.

I don't want to spend time maintaining something that is not needed by users.

I will open up something on my blogsite and you can report there.

Castlevania can run perfectly with Dyna-compiler and there is no game freeze after the burning tree.
Read 1964mod_Readme on my homesite which will tell you how to speedup or slowdown your game if it goes too fast or too slow.
Top Gear Overdrive works without flicker using CF1.
Post your issue on my blogsite - see Comment #12
