Dolphin SVN r7091 is released. Dolphin is the first Gamecube emulator able to run commercial games! Dolphin is a great Gamecube(NGC) and Wii emulator. It has a partial Wii support and plays most Gamecube games. SSSE3 and SSE4 optimized are enabled in this build.

Jpcsp SVN r1981 is released. JPCSP is a PlayStation Portable(PSP) emulator which is written in JAVA. JPCSP is the first PSP emulator that is written in JAVA. Most people think java is too slow. But Shadow and his team has proven us wrong. The newest Java versions are almost as fast as C which makes it very interesting for emu dev's. Shadow and his team are working day and night with pleasure on the emu, many coders have dedicated to the project. Because it's written in java many young devs find it interesting to learn how the emulator works.

Arguably the most problematic aspect of MAME’s PSX hardware emulation was the SPU audio chip. It had no envelope support, no reverb, and an assortment of bugs. Fortunately most arcade games use the SPU only for sound effects and have a separate chip for music so the problems weren’t as dire as a working MESS PSX driver might have shown, but glitches did occur and vex players (for instance, the siren in Tetris the Grand Master).

E-UAE 0.8.25 R3

E-UAE 0.8.25 R3 is released. E-UAE is an Amiga emulator, for the PS3. The ported emulator, features 68000 68010 and 68020 CPU emulation, aimga hi-res graphics (720x576), keyboard emulation and more. The emulator is compiled with the PSL1GHT SDK, so it will need to be re-signed for play on 3.50/3.55 firmware.

Nintendulator 0.975 beta (2011/02/05) is released. Nintendulator is an open source Win32 NES emulator written in C (plus some assembly optimization). The original goal was to emulate the NES down to its hardware quirks; though it's fallen behind over the years, recent builds have caught up once again and can emulate certain behaviors most other emulators neglect to handle. However, this emulation precision comes at a price - a 1500MHz (estimated) or faster CPU is required to emulate at full speed.

MESS SVN r10309

MESS SVN r10309 is released. MESS(Multi Emulator Super System) is an open source emulator which emulates a large variety of different systems. MESS is a source-available project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.

Demul WIP: Giant Gram 2000 (2011/02/05)

Thanks to the tremendous work done Deunan Knute, the remnants of protection NAOMI were broken. Principles of all three types of encryption and decompression, including protected DMA, now known. It is quite possible to renounce the use of patches with decrypted data, including the DMA mode. Thus, launched earlier does not run games, including Giant Gram 2000 and cartridge version of Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution.
