Glitch64 SVN r238 is released. GlideHQ is a realtime texture enhancer library with hi-resolution texture pack support for Glide64. Glitch64 is the recommended Glide3x wrapper for Glide64, the Glide video plugin for N64 emulators. It currently supports S3TC texture compression, anisotropic filtering, widescreen resolutions and simulates almost all the Glide3x hardware capabilities used by the plugin, included texture buffer capability (needed for render to texture). It is coded using the OpenGL API and uses GLSL shaders.

DeSmuME SVN r3996 is released. DeSmuME is an open source Nintendo DS(NDS) emulator for Linux, Mac OS and Windows. DeSmuME supports save states, the ability to increase the size of the screen and it supports filters to improve image quality. DeSmuME also supports microphone use on Windows and Linux ports, as well as direct video and audio recording. The emulator also features a built-in movie recorder.

The Videoton TV Computer (or simply: TVC) was a popular Hungarian 8-bit micromputer, very similar to the Enterprise-128. It had been licensed from the same company that had developped the Enterprise and later modified my the engineers of the Videoton Electronics, a Hungarian company.

Raine emulates some M68000 and M68020 arcade games and is mainly focused on Taito and Jaleco games hardware. It started as an experiment with the Rainbow Islands romset, dumped by Aracorn/Romlist. Raine can emulate many nice games now, and new games (previously unemulated) are appearing weekly.

DOSBox SVN r3704 is released. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD. However, it is not restricted to running only games. In theory, any MS-DOS or PC-DOS (referred to commonly as "DOS") application should run in DOSBox, but the emphasis has been on getting DOS games to run smoothly, which means that communication, networking and printer support are still in early development.

HyperSpin RomManager v1.1c is released. HyperSpin RomManager is a tool. HyperSpin is just a great frontend, be it for your cabinet or a home theater pc. But a lot of the assumed rom file names in the configurations just don't meet the names of the rom files in my (and your?) collections. So getting the roms to work with it can be a real pain. HyperSpin RomManager helps you to get a copy of your roms in order to meet the namings of the HyperSpin configurations.

MESS SVN r11381 is released. MESS(Multi Emulator Super System) is an open source emulator which emulates a large variety of different systems. MESS is a source-available project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.

NeoRaine v1.2.12

NeoRaine v1.2.12 is released. NeoRaine is a fast Neo Geo CD emulator. NeoRaine is a fast emulator for the old Neo Geo CD game console, based on neocdpsp. It does not try to emulate the raster effects. As a result, "Riding Hero" is unplayable because it simulates 3D effects using raster interrupts. All other Neo Geo CD games should work. Similar like what MESS is to MAME, NeoRaine shares code with the main project Raine and is developed alongside, so the source code is distributed together.
