OpenBOR v3.0 Build 3688 is released. OpenBOR is an official port of the OpenBOR (aka Beats of Rage) beat em up game engine to the Wii. The initial port was done by SX and the current maintainer is Plombo.

QMC2 SVN r3770

QMC2 SVN r3770 is compiled. QMC2 is a good GUI for MAME & MESS. QMC2(M.A.M.E. Catalog / Launcher II) is the successor of one of the first XMAME/MESS GUI frontends available, QMamecat (derived from MAMECAT, which was text-only). QMC2 has been rebuilt from scratch as a Qt 4 project. Parts of the design and code were inspired by its predecessor. The new design was made as flexible as possible to minimize dependencies from frontend- and CLI-related MAME changes, which was a major deficiency of QMamecat. QMC2 uses a template-based MAME configuration scheme, which can easily be enhanced with additional command line options (defined in an XML template file).

MESSUI v0.145u8 is released. MESSUI is a unoffical builds of MESS with NEWUI. MESS is an open source project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.

Mameinfo.dat v0.145u8 is released. detailed mame game information (including version added, number of players, game status, cpu/audio chips, display info and maws hall of fame ratings). Provides Recommended Games for GameEx.

Fceux SVN r2507

Fceux SVN r2507 is compiled. FCEUX is a cross platform, NTSC and PAL Famicom/NES emulator that is an evolution of the original FCE Ultra emulator. Over time FCE Ultra had separated into many separate branches. The concept behind FCEUX is to merge elements from FCE Ultra, FCEU rerecording, FCEUXD, FCEUXDSP, and FCEU-mm into a single branch of FCEU. As the X implies, it is an all-encompassing FCEU emulator that gives the best of all worlds for the general player, the ROM-hacking community, and the Tool-Assisted Speedrun Community.

DeSmuME JIT SVN r4271

DeSmuME JIT SVN r4271 is compiled. DeSmuME JIT is a branch of DeSmuME. DeSmuME is an open source Nintendo DS(NDS) emulator for Linux, Mac OS and Windows. DeSmuME supports save states, the ability to increase the size of the screen and it supports filters to improve image quality. DeSmuME also supports microphone use on Windows and Linux ports, as well as direct video and audio recording. The emulator also features a built-in movie recorder.

BizHawk SVN r2264 is compiled. BizHawk is a A multi-system emulator written in C#. BizHawk provides nice features for casual gamers such as full screen, and joypad support in addition to full rerecording and debugging tools for all system cores.

FPse v0.11.23 for Android is released. FPse for Android is the fastest and most compatible PSone emulator for handheld devices. FPse support OpenGL via external Plugin.

G-FS-UAE v0.0.41 is released. G-FS-UAE is a simple frontend for FS-UAE Amiga linux emulator written in Gambas3. fs-uae is a multi-platform Amiga emulator based on UAE/WinUAE, with a focus on emulating floppy-disk and CD-ROM based games.

CuteMupen v0.1.1 is released. CuteMupen is a frontend for the Nintendo 64 emulator Mupen64Plus and runs under Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

GameBoy Online (2012/05/06)

GameBoy Online (2012/05/06) is released. GameBoy Online is a Game Boy and GameBoy Color emulator written in Javascript. It strives to be efficient and try to have a perfect compatibility. Currently the execution speed is not optimal even on browsers. For example on Chrome, which is nevertheless deemed to run Javascript faster on a PC running Windows 7 64-bit version with a double heart 2 CPUs at 2.2 GHz, games run at normal speed but almost skipping some frames.

MAME v0.145u8

MAME v0.145u8 is released. MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. When used in conjunction with images of the original arcade game's ROM and disk data, MAME attempts to reproduce that game as faithfully as possible on a more modern general-purpose computer. MAME can currently emulate several thousand different classic arcade video games from the late 1970s through the modern era.

Bleep! v1.07 is released. Bleep! is a music player for NSF and GBS files. Bleep! is released under the terms of the GNU General Public License version 3.

MD.emu for Android v1.4.26

MD.emu for Android v1.4.26 is released. MD.emu is a commercial port of the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and Master System/Mark III emulator Genesis Plus (GPL) for Android. Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and Master System/Mark III emulator based on Genesis Plus (GPL), designed and tested on the original Droid/Milestone and the Xoom, but works on many devices with similar specs. While not currently as fast as some other Genesis apps available (performance is similar my SNES app depending on the game), MD.emu features very accurate emulation is able to properly display graphics in many games other apps do not. Examples include Panorama Cotton, Star Control, and the VS mode in Sonic 2. My goal for future updates is to eventually provide Sega CD support.

iNES v3.6.19 for Android is released. iNES emulates classic NES and Famicom video game consoles. It runs NES, Famicom, DiskSystem, and VS System games right on your Android device.

NES.emu for Android v1.4.26 is released. NES.emu is a commercial port of the NES emulator FCEUX for Android. NES/Famicom emulator based on FCEUX (GPL), designed and tested on the original Droid/Milestone and the Xoom, but works on many devices with similar specs. It uses the most up-to-date revision of well-known PC emulator FCEUX (most other Market apps are built from older & less accurate versions of FCE Ultra).

Snes9x EX v1.4.26

Snes9x EX v1.4.26 is released. Snes9x EX is an SNES/Super Famicom emulator written in C++ for Android, iOS, WebOS. It uses the emulation backend from Snes9x and is built on top of the Imagine engine.

FourDO v1.3.0.1 is released. FourDO is an open-source emulator for the 3DO Game Console.

WinUAE v2.4.1 Beta 14 (RC3)

WinUAE v2.4.1 Beta 14 (RC3) is released. WinUAE is the commodore amiga emulator for Windows. WinUAE is a mostly complete software emulation of the hardware of the Commodore Amiga 500/1000/2000. A Commodore Amiga, for those who don’t know, is a 16/32 bit computer system based on the Motorola 680×0 CPU and a few specially designed custom chips that provide very good graphics and sound capabilities. Its first incarnation, the A1000, appeared in 1985, followed by the highly successful A500 and A2000 models. WinUAE is a port of the originally written for Unixish systems UAE; but over time, it seems the Windows port, WinUAE has become the best version available on any platform. WinUAE is free software: you are welcome to distribute copies of it and/or modify it, under certain conditions. There is no warranty of any kind for UAE.
