Dapplegrey v3.4.5

Dapplegrey v3.4.5 is released. Dapplegrey is a frontend for the MacOS X DOSBox port (which you can get from the official DOSBox website) written in REALbasic. Not only the plain DOSBox app, but DOSBox versions included in DBGL or Boxer will also be recognized as DOSBox binary source. With Dapplegrey you can easily set options the DOSBox gives to you w/o having to enter them manually using the Terminal or have to edit the DOSBox config file. This file will be written before Dapplegrey tells DOSBox to start the DOS game.

Important hints for users of earlier versions:
- Disk images added to the drives won't be imported from the games list of earlier Dapplegrey versions properly. Sorry, you have to re-assign disk image mountings once before running a DOS game again
- Since there is an un-resolved problem with assigning multiple number of images to a drive, it is recommended to organize the Floppy & CD images within folders per game. When attempting to add multiple Floppy & CD-ROM images to a game entry, open the dialog 'Drives', select 'Disk Images'. Then, simply browse to the folder containing the desired disc images. Dapplegrey will let DOSBox mount all the disc images stored in this folder.
- If you're using Mac OS X 10.8 Mt. Lion as Operating system, you may have to hold down the 'alt' key before starting Dapplegrey the very first time.

Dapplegrey v3.4.5 Changelog:
- If the subfolder of the game folder is attempted to be mounted as drive C:, the mount point of drive C: will be set correct again. This sub routine has been rewritten completely.
This problem has been described in the previous Feed entry "Dapplegrey Blog posting".
- If the user added games to the "User's Games" list before (which is the case, usually), the category "User's Games" will be displayed at start now. Previously, "Games Included" has been displayed.
- Drag and Drop of DOS applications now uses the keyboardlayout set in the Dapplegrey Preferences Window, before the game will be executed (previously, the keyboardlayout has been set after executing the game, unfortunately).
