SSF v0.12 Beta R4

EmuCR:SS EmulatorsSSF v0.12 Beta R4 is released. SSF is a Sega Saturn emulator for Windows systems using DirectX 9.0b. The current version claims near-complete implementation of the Sega Saturn hardware (not counting emulation bugs), and can emulate the Saturn based Sega Titan Video arcade hardware too. As with most emulators, CDs or disc images are not included and have to be owned separately. The BIOS is also not included; as of 0.07 Beta R3, games run without the BIOS however. The usage of BIOS files is optional but recommended for better compatibility, and needed for tasks such as management of the contents of the internal memory of the Sega Saturn, or setting the system clock.

SSF v0.12 Beta R4 Changelog:
- corrected digital signal processing (DSP).
- fixed VDP1 drawing process.
- fixed vertical scroll cell processing.
- fixed bitmap processing of surface of revolution.
- fixed line color processing of the surface of revolution.
- fixed window treatment.
- fixed back screen processing.
- I have modified the BIOS emulation process.
-- version save state data has changed.
-- provided with the option to specify the number of threads VDP1 drawing.
-- it can be processed in three threads maximum.
-- provided with the option to be processed in a separate thread the DSP
-- I've lost the use of the processor specified thread
-- I removed the multi-thread-option of VDP2 drawing.

  2. shame it still has a few compatibility issues. Who'd have thought DOOM would be so hard to emulate!

    2. I know, it's the best Saturn emulator by far...but it's not quite good enough for me to retire my actual hardware yet, as many games won't run on it.

I've always said, the moment Doom is emulated in SSF is the moment I disconnect my Saturn and put it in the loft.

  3. No, SSF developer is an alone working on it and speak Japanese only. YABAUSE is an English working on it. So I like SSF a lot. It works great with my games without a problem. I dont like many sega saturn games so few games worked perfectly on it. Its good enough for me.

  4. Does anyone know if it possible to get Game Shark or Action Replay to work with this emulator? In the options menu there is a place to load a data cart rom but I cannot seem to find any rom dumps of a Game Shark or Pro Action Reply rom to try it out.
