3Beans (2025/12/11)

3Beans (2025/12/11) is released. 3Beans emulates the 3DS at a low level, which means that it runs the entire OS as if it were on real hardware. It can boot the home menu and play cartridge-based games, but it's still young and has plenty of issues. It's currently fully interpreted and software-rendered, which makes it portable but slow. If the project matures enough, I might try to incorporate hardware acceleration or high-level elements to achieve reasonable speeds.

Xenia Edge Git (2025/12/11)

Xenia Edge Git (2025/12/11) is released. Xenia Edge is yet another experimental fork of the Xenia emulator, mainly based on Xenia Canary but with the aim of quicker iteration and improvements to Vulkan backend and Linux platform in particular. Windows of course remains fully supported as well and will benefit from changes made here especially with its Vulkan backend.

SugarDS v1.5a

SugarDS v1.5a is released. SugarDS is an Amstrad CPC 646 and 6128 Emulator for the DS/DSi. The Amstrad CPC was released in 1984 and competed with the ZX Spectrum and C64 in the UK and Eastern EU. Although a latecomer to the market, the solid engineering "all-in-one" design gathered support. There are still many fans of the system today and plenty of great homebrew games that fully take advantage of the system strengths. This emulator is not perfect - but it should be capable enough to render most games playable on the tiny handheld so you can get your Amstrad gaming on-the-go!

As GimliDS is a port of the Frodo emulator for the DS/DSi/XL/LL handhelds, any copying or distribution of this emulator, its source code and associated readme files, with or without modification, are permitted per the original Frodo emulator license shown below.
