Nextendo v1.8.14 is released. Nextendo is a fork of the open-source Ryujinx Nintendo Switch emulator. On top of Ryujinx's excellent accuracy and performance, Nextendo adds a first-class, built-in client for the Nextendo Network — a community-run replacement for the official online service — so supported games can be played online again without any manual configuration, custom hosts file, or SSL bypass on the user's part. The emulation core (CPU, GPU, audio, input, filesystem) is unchanged from upstream Ryujinx. Nextendo's additions are limited to the networking layer and the surrounding user experience.
Nextendo Changelog:
Games
Nintendo Switch Sports: graphics fixes (vertex data is now written before draws) and six-axis sensor calibration support, so the game renders and reads motion controls correctly.
Splatoon 2 on macOS and Linux: online matches no longer drop because a UDP hole-punch probe was mistaken for a disconnect.
Service catalog
The emulator now reads a signed catalog from Nextendo Network. New online titles and accepted game versions can be added from the server, without waiting for an emulator update.
Catalog titles show their supported version and live player count in the game library. A manual refresh is available in the Nextendo menu.
If a catalog title is not on a supported version, you get the usual warning and can still play offline.
macOS
Controllers no longer freeze the emulator when HD rumble is initialised.
