PCSX2 Git (2016/10/08)

EmuCR: PCSX2PCSX2 Git (2016/10/08) is compiled. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

PCSX2 Git Changelog:
* psxmode: Make cd read delays longer to avoid mdec glitches and possibly some other data corruption. Proper read timings can be added later using cdvd.cpp as an example.
* psxmode: silence "vsync timeout" spam

  1. So...PSOne-mode, huh?
I did read that tease on PCSX2 Team's official site, but I still wonder...does this means that next stable official release will be supporting PSOne from now on? Can I finally get rid of ePSXe/PCSXR/pSX/etc?

  2. I'm not too thrilled about PCSX2 emulating the PS1, we have plenty of PS1 emulators already.

    1. But it's always better to have one thing that can very well emulate several platforms from the same maker, no? Look at Fusion for the prime example - it's purely PURR-FECT when it comes down to sheer quality of emulation and features provided, and it fully emulates Master System, Genesis/Megadrive, Sega CD, and even the friggin' 32X! All in just one single package! Quite frankly, if there were an emulator out there which could perfectly emulate both the PSOne and PS 2 in the same single package, I'd use only it and delete all my other PSOne's emulators right away without any hesitations at all. My six PC builds are already cluttered pretty badly, outright convoluted by tons of software, so I'd gladly use less different software if I could do same amount of work with lesser amounts of programs installed.
