yuzu Git (2022/02/01)

EmuCR: yuzuyuzu Git (2022/02/01) is compiled. yuzu is a work-in-progress Nintendo Switch emulator. yuzu is an open-source project, licensed under the GPLv2 (or any later version). yuzu has been designed with portability in mind, with builds available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. The project was started in spring of 2017 by bunnei, one of the original authors of the popular Citra 3DS emulator, to experiment with and research the Nintendo Switch. Due to the similarities between Switch and 3DS, yuzu was developed as a fork of Citra. This means that it uses the same project architecture, and both emulators benefit from sharead improvements. During the early months of development, work was done in private, and progress was slow. However, as Switch reverse-engineering and homebrew development became popular, work on yuzu began to take off as well.

rpcs3 Git (2022/02/01)

EmuCR: rpcs3 rpcs3 Git (2022/02/01) is compiled. RPCS3 is an open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger written in C++ for Windows and Linux. The emulator has been in development since early 2011 and currently supports modern DirectX 12, Vulkan and OpenGL renderers. The emulator is capable of booting and playing a decent amount of commercial games and PlayStation 3 SDK samples. Many more titles are also becoming playable with future development by contributors.

PCSX2 Git (2022/02/01)

EmuCR: PCSX2PCSX2 Git (2022/02/01) is compiled. PCSX2 is a free and open-source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator. Its purpose is to emulate the PS2's hardware, using a combination of MIPS CPU Interpreters, Recompilers and a Virtual Machine which manages hardware states and PS2 system memory. This allows you to play PS2 games on your PC, with many additional features and benefits. The PCSX2 project has been running for more than ten years. Past versions could only run a few public domain game demos, but newer versions can run most games at full speed, including popular titles such as Final Fantasy X and Devil May Cry 3.

Project64 Git (2022/02/01)

EmuCR: Project 64Project64 Git (2022/02/01) is compiled. Project 64 is a proprietary Nintendo 64 emulator for Windows. It employs a plug-in system that allows third-party software developers to create their own implementation of a specified component. Project64 allows the user to play Nintendo 64 games on a computer by reading ROM images, either dumped from the read-only memory of a Nintendo 64 cartridge or created directly on the computer as homebrew. Project64 started as an exercise by Jabo and zilmar in an attempt to see if they were capable of programming a Nintendo 64 emulator. It's open source now.

Dolphin Git 5.0-15993

EmuCR: DolphinDolphin Git 5.0-15993 is compiled. This is the trunk of Dolphin Project. Dolphin is the first Gamecube emulator able to run commercial games! Dolphin is a Gamecube, Wii and Triforce (the arcade machine based on the Gamecube) emulator which supports many extra features and abilities not present on the original consoles. It has a partial Wii support and plays most Gamecube games.

Snes9x Git (2022/02/01)

EmuCR: Snes9xSnes9x Git (2022/02/01) is compiled. Snes9x is a portable, freeware Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator. It basically allows you to play most games designed for the SNES and Super Famicom Nintendo game systems on your PC or Workstation; which includes some real gems that were only ever released in Japan. Snes9x is the result of well over three years worth of part-time hacking, coding, recoding, debugging, divorce, etc. (just kidding about the divorce bit). Snes9x is coded in C++, with three assembler CPU emulation cores on the i386 Linux and Windows ports.

The Atari 2600 Video Computer System (VCS), introduced in 1977, was the most popular home video game system of the early 1980's. puNES Git (2022/02/01)

EmuCR: puNESpuNES Git (2022/02/01) is compiled. puNES is a NES emulator. Currently the program supports mappers 0, MMC1, UNROM, CNROM, and the sound is available. It uses the SDL libraries and it works on both Linux and Windows.

FB Neo Git (2022/02/01)

EmuCR: FB AlphaFB Neo Git (2022/02/01) is compiled. FinalBurn Neo is an Emulator for Arcade Games & Select Consoles. It is based on the emulators FinalBurn and old versions of MAME.

DOSBox-Staging Git (2022/02/01)

NintendulatorNintendulatorNRS (2021/11/23) is released. NintendulatorNRS is a Famicom/NES (and its derivate such as the VRT chipsets) emulator for Windows. It is a fork of Nintendulator (by Quietust) maintained by NewRisingSun which offers an extremly wide compatibility.

Altirra v4.10 Test 6

EmuCR:AltirraAltirra v4.1 Test 6 is released. Altirra is an Atari 8 bit Emulator on the Windows/DOS platform. Altirra emulates several models of the 8-bit Atari computers. This includes the the 800, 800XL, and 130XE versions. It has a lot of options, and compatibility is decent especially given the emulator's early stages. It also supports some copy protected games properly in emulation.

vAmiga v1.1 Beta 9

EmuCR: Steem SSEvAmiga v1.1 Beta 9 is released. vAmiga emulates a Commodore Amiga 500, 1000 or 2000 on your Mac. To run the emulator, a Kickstart Rom is required. The original Amiga Roms are the intellectual property of the company Cloanto. By purchasing a license of Amiga Forever™ you can acquire a legal Kickstart license. Rom image files can be added to vAmiga via drag and drop. vAmiga is open-source and published under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

vdmgr v0.2.5 is released. vdmgr is a multi-system emulator that emulates the NES, NeoGeo Pocket, Sega SG-1000 / Mark III, MCS BASIC-52, TD 4, GMC-4, Z80 computers and MSX.

EmuCR:SS EmulatorsSSF PreviewVer R28 fix3 is released. SSF is a Sega Saturn emulator for Windows systems using DirectX 9.0b. The current version claims near-complete implementation of the Sega Saturn hardware (not counting emulation bugs), and can emulate the Saturn based Sega Titan Video arcade hardware too. As with most emulators, CDs or disc images are not included and have to be owned separately. The BIOS is also not included; as of 0.07 Beta R3, games run without the BIOS however. The usage of BIOS files is optional but recommended for better compatibility, and needed for tasks such as management of the contents of the internal memory of the Sega Saturn, or setting the system clock.

DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.
