PCSX2 Git (2022/02/28)

EmuCR: PCSX2PCSX2 Git (2022/02/28) is compiled. PCSX2 is a free and open-source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator. Its purpose is to emulate the PS2's hardware, using a combination of MIPS CPU Interpreters, Recompilers and a Virtual Machine which manages hardware states and PS2 system memory. This allows you to play PS2 games on your PC, with many additional features and benefits. The PCSX2 project has been running for more than ten years. Past versions could only run a few public domain game demos, but newer versions can run most games at full speed, including popular titles such as Final Fantasy X and Devil May Cry 3.

PCSX-Redux Git (2022/02/28)

EmuCR: PCSX-ReduxPCSX-Redux Git (2022/02/28) is compiled. This is yet another fork of the Playstation Emulator, PCSX. While the work here is very much in progress, the goal is roughly the following: Bring the codebase to more up to date code standards. Get rid of the plugin system and create a single monolithic codebase that handles all aspects of the playstation emulation. Write everything on top of SDL/OpenGL3+/ImGui for portability and readability. Improve the debugging experience. Improve the rendering experience.

Ares Git (2022/02/28)

EmuCR: aresAres Git (2022/02/28) is compiled. ares is a multi-system emulator that began development on October 14th, 2004. It is a descendent of higan and bsnes, and focuses on accuracy and preservation.

Play! Git (2022/02/28)

EmuCR: Play!Play! Git (2022/02/28) is compiled. Play! is an attempt at creating an emulator for the PlayStation 2 (PS2) console on the Windows platform. It is currently written in C/C++. It uses an instruction caching/recompilation scheme to achieve better performance while emulating the CPU.

NooDS Git (2022/02/28)

EmuCR: NooDSNooDS Git (2022/02/28) is compiled. A (hopefully!) speedy NDS emulator. NooDS is available for Linux, macOS, Windows, and the Nintendo Switch. Automatic builds are provided; to use them, you'll need to install wxWidgets on Linux or macOS, or the latest Visual C++ runtime library on Windows. NooDS doesn't provide high-level emulation of the BIOS yet. To actually run games, you'll need BIOS files, named "bios7.bin" and "bios9.bin", and a firmware file, named "firmware.bin", placed in the same directory as the executable. On the Switch, you'll also need to have a ROM file named "rom.nds" in the directory, because there's no file browser yet.

Flycast Git (2022/02/28)

EmuCR: Flycast Flycast Git (2022/02/28) is compiled. Flycast is a multi-platform Sega Dreamcast, Naomi and Atomiswave emulator derived from reicast.

Fceux Git (2022/02/28)

EmuCR:FceuxFceux Git (2022/02/28) is compiled. FCEUX is a cross platform, NTSC and PAL Famicom/NES emulator that is an evolution of the original FCE Ultra emulator. Over time FCE Ultra had separated into many separate branches. The concept behind FCEUX is to merge elements from FCE Ultra, FCEU rerecording, FCEUXD, FCEUXDSP, and FCEU-mm into a single branch of FCEU. As the X implies, it is an all-encompassing FCEU emulator that gives the best of all worlds for the general player, the ROM-hacking community, and the Tool-Assisted Speedrun Community.

Stella Git (2022/02/28)

EmuCR: StellaStella Git (2022/02/28) is compiled. Stella is a multi-platform Atari 2600 VCS emulator. The Atari 2600 Video Computer System (VCS), introduced in 1977, was the most popular home video game system of the early 1980's. Now you can enjoy all of your favorite Atari 2600 games on your PC thanks to Stella!

OpenMSX Git (2022/02/28)

EmuCR:OpenMSX OpenMSX Git (2022/02/28) is compiled. OpenMSX is an open source MSX emulator which is free according to the Debian Free Software Guidelines, available under the GNU General Public License. For copyright reasons the emulator cannot be distributed with original BIOS ROM images. OpenMSX includes C-BIOS a minimal implementation of the MSX BIOS, allowing to play quite some games without the need to have an original MSX BIOS ROM image. You can also use your own BIOS ROM image if you please.

EmuCR: FB AlphaFB Neo Git (2022/02/28) is compiled. FinalBurn Neo is an Emulator for Arcade Games & Select Consoles. It is based on the emulators FinalBurn and old versions of MAME.

DOSBox SVN r4473

EmuCR: DOSBoxDOSBox SVN r4473 is compiled. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD. However, it is not restricted to running only games. In theory, any MS-DOS or PC-DOS (referred to commonly as "DOS") application should run in DOSBox, but the emphasis has been on getting DOS games to run smoothly, which means that communication, networking and printer support are still in early development.

EKA2L1 Git (2022/02/28)

EmuCR: EKA2L1 EKA2L1 Git (2022/02/28) is compiled. EKA2L1 is a Experimental Symbian OS emulator, written in C++ 17. The emulator currently emulates Symbian OS's EKA2 behavior (with planned EKA1 support), and reimplement most of its critical app servers. It can already boot many EKA2's apps and games, with EKA1 being worked on at the moment.

Nintendulator 0.985 beta (2022/02/27)

NintendulatorNintendulator 0.985 beta (2022/02/27) is released. Nintendulator is an open source Win32 NES emulator written in C (plus some assembly optimization). The original goal was to emulate the NES down to its hardware quirks; though it's fallen behind over the years, recent builds have caught up once again and can emulate certain behaviors most other emulators neglect to handle. However, this emulation precision comes at a price - a 1500MHz (estimated) or faster CPU is required to emulate at full speed.

WinVICE r41840

EmuCR: SDLVICE WinVICE r41840 is released. WinVICE is a program that executes programs intended for the old 8-bit computers. The current version emulates the C64, the C128, the VIC20, all the PET models (except the SuperPET 9000, which is out of line anyway), the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610).
