Fceux SVN r2220 is released. FCEUX is a cross platform, NTSC and PAL Famicom/NES emulator that is an evolution of the original FCE Ultra emulator. Over time FCE Ultra had separated into many separate branches. The concept behind FCEUX is to merge elements from FCE Ultra, FCEU rerecording, FCEUXD, FCEUXDSP, and FCEU-mm into a single branch of FCEU. As the X implies, it is an all-encompassing FCEU emulator that gives the best of all worlds for the general player, the ROM-hacking community, and the Tool-Assisted Speedrun Community.

C64 Forever v2012.0.0 is releeased. When the C64 was launched by Commodore in 1982 it immediately set the standard for 8-bit home computers. Its low cost, superior graphics, high quality sound and a massive 64 KB of RAM positioned it as the winner in the home computer wars, knocking out competitors from the likes of Atari, Texas Instruments, Sinclair, Apple and IBM.

Altirra 2.0 Test 31 is released. Altirra is an Atari 8 bit Emulator on the Windows/DOS platform. Altirra emulates several models of the 8-bit Atari computers. This includes the the 800, 800XL, and 130XE versions. It has a lot of options, and compatibility is decent especially given the emulator's early stages. It also supports some copy protected games properly in emulation.

GameEx v12.05 is released. GameEx is a graphical DirectX based front-end for MAME, Zinc, Daphne, PC Games, and all command line based game emulators, along with being a good Home Theatre PC solution. It also makes a good CarPC and touchscreen frontend. The original goal was for it to be used on Windows XP Media Center and Arcade Cabinets although it will run on any version of Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and Vista. GameEx is only 15$ to register with one year of free updates. $24 for 2 years of free updates, $33 for 3 years of free updates and $39 for free updates forever.

Did a review of the Taito JC system driver in the last couple of days. It apparently got recently improved by some ’040 fixes by Arbee, so I’ve given a quick look of it, fixed inputs in all games in the driver, fixed a crash for Densya de Go 2, made various gfx fixes (in particular I’ve added a Gouraud Shading triangle drawing mode, used by Landing Gear for some elements). This makes Densya de Go, Densya de Go 2 and Landing Gear to be working, and improves Dangerous Curves that now enters into gameplay but doesn’t show any 3d due of a DSP bug.

Dolphin Git 3.0-67 is released. Dolphin is the first Gamecube emulator able to run commercial games! Dolphin is a great Gamecube(NGC) and Wii emulator. It has a partial Wii support and plays most Gamecube games. Dolphin has been changed SVN to Git recently.

Q-Gears v0.20
Q-Gears v0.20 is released. Q-Gears is an attempt to make a clone of Squaresoft´s Final Fantasy 7 game engine. It is designed to be cross-platform and run on modern operating systems such as Win32 and Linux. In the future this is to serve as a framework for compatibility with other Square games.
NRage Input Plugin SVN r58
NRage Input Plugin SVN r58 is released. NRage Input Plugin is the Best N64 Emulation Plugin. NRage Input Plugin is for use with an N64 emulator that supports input plugins through Zilmar's input spec. Some emulators that support it are: Project64, Apollo, 1964, TR64.
Javascript PC Emulator (2011/08/20)
Fabrice Bellard, who is the author of QEMU, has developed another PC emulator, but this time in Javascript. The JavaScript PC Emulator using the W3C Typed Arrays code is available in some browsers. The program was tested on Firefox and Chrome 11 to 4 on both Linux, Mac and Windows.
