EmulationStation Desktop Edition (ES-DE) is a frontend application for browsing and launching games from your multi-platform game collection. It comes preconfigured for use with RetroArch and a number of other emulators. It's also fully customizable so you can easily expand it to launch any emulators or applications that are not included in the bundled configuration. ES-DE is free and open source and will remain so forever. It's also true multi-platform and runs on numerous operating systems such as Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Manjaro, Fedora, FreeBSD, macOS and Windows.

GameEx v18.87

EmuCR:GameEx GameEx v18.87 is released. GameEx is a graphical DirectX based front-end for MAME, Zinc, Daphne, PC Games, and all command line based game emulators, along with being a good Home Theatre PC solution. It also makes a good CarPC and touchscreen frontend. The original goal was for it to be used on Windows XP Media Center and Arcade Cabinets although it will run on any version of Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and Vista. For just $17 (USD) you can too unlock the full potential of the front end.

WinVICE r45398

EmuCR: SDLVICE WinVICE r45398 is released. WinVICE is a program that executes programs intended for the old 8-bit computers. The current version emulates the C64, the C128, the VIC20, all the PET models (except the SuperPET 9000, which is out of line anyway), the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610).

Xenia Git (2024/12/15)

EmuCR: PCSX2PCSX2 v2.3.60 is released. PCSX2 is a free and open-source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator. Its purpose is to emulate the PS2's hardware, using a combination of MIPS CPU Interpreters, Recompilers and a Virtual Machine which manages hardware states and PS2 system memory. This allows you to play PS2 games on your PC, with many additional features and benefits.

Gearcoleco v1.3.0 is released. Gearcoleco is a very accurate cross-platform ColecoVision emulator written in C++ that runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, BSD, Raspberry Pi and RetroArch. This is an open source project with its ongoing development made possible thanks to the support by these awesome backers.
