PCSX-Redux Git (2025/11/18)

EmuCR: PCSX-ReduxPCSX-Redux Git (2025/11/18) is compiled. This is yet another fork of the Playstation Emulator, PCSX. While the work here is very much in progress, the goal is roughly the following: Bring the codebase to more up to date code standards. Get rid of the plugin system and create a single monolithic codebase that handles all aspects of the playstation emulation. Write everything on top of SDL/OpenGL3+/ImGui for portability and readability. Improve the debugging experience. Improve the rendering experience.

3Beans (2025/11/18)

3Beans (2025/11/18) is released. 3Beans emulates the 3DS at a low level, which means that it runs the entire OS as if it were on real hardware. It can boot the home menu and play cartridge-based games, but it's still young and has plenty of issues. It's currently fully interpreted and software-rendered, which makes it portable but slow. If the project matures enough, I might try to incorporate hardware acceleration or high-level elements to achieve reasonable speeds.

melonDS v1.1

EmuCR: melonDSmelonDS v1.1 is released. melonDS is an open source Nintendo DS(NDS) emulator. melonDS is part of a second wave of DS emulators. There are a few other emulator projects that are part of it, which you might have already heard of. Either way, check them out!

RetroArch v1.22.2

EmuCR: RetroArch RetroArch v1.22.2 is released. RetroArch is a multi-system emulator for Linux, Windows, Mac OS X and *BSD. It is formerly known as SSNES. Its design and background is quite different than most other emulators as RetroArch does not implement an emulation core itself. RetroArch talks to libretro, a generic emulator core API. This means that RetroArch is core agnostic, and it does not care which emulator core is running.

GameEx v19.55

EmuCR:GameEx GameEx v19.55 is released. GameEx is a graphical DirectX based front-end for MAME, Zinc, Daphne, PC Games, and all command line based game emulators, along with being a good Home Theatre PC solution. The original goal was for it to be used on Windows XP Media Center and Arcade Cabinets although it will run on any version of Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and Vista. For just $17 (USD) you can too unlock the full potential of the front end.
