Snes9x Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: Snes9xSnes9x Git (2026/04/14) is compiled. Snes9x is a portable, freeware Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator. It basically allows you to play most games designed for the SNES and Super Famicom Nintendo game systems on your PC or Workstation; which includes some real gems that were only ever released in Japan. Snes9x is the result of well over three years worth of part-time hacking, coding, recoding, debugging, divorce, etc. (just kidding about the divorce bit). Snes9x is coded in C++, with three assembler CPU emulation cores on the i386 Linux and Windows ports.

rpcs3 Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: rpcs3 rpcs3 Git (2026/04/14) is compiled. RPCS3 is an open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger written in C++ for Windows and Linux. The emulator has been in development since early 2011 and currently supports modern DirectX 12, Vulkan and OpenGL renderers. The emulator is capable of booting and playing a decent amount of commercial games and PlayStation 3 SDK samples. Many more titles are also becoming playable with future development by contributors.

PCSX2 v2.7.254

EmuCR: PCSX2PCSX2 v2.7.254 is released. PCSX2 is a free and open-source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator. Its purpose is to emulate the PS2's hardware, using a combination of MIPS CPU Interpreters, Recompilers and a Virtual Machine which manages hardware states and PS2 system memory. This allows you to play PS2 games on your PC, with many additional features and benefits.

PCSX-Redux Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: PCSX-ReduxPCSX-Redux Git (2026/04/14) is compiled. This is yet another fork of the Playstation Emulator, PCSX. While the work here is very much in progress, the goal is roughly the following: Bring the codebase to more up to date code standards. Get rid of the plugin system and create a single monolithic codebase that handles all aspects of the playstation emulation. Write everything on top of SDL/OpenGL3+/ImGui for portability and readability. Improve the debugging experience. Improve the rendering experience.

Play! Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: Play!Play! Git (2026/04/14) is compiled. Play! is an attempt at creating an emulator for the PlayStation 2 (PS2) console on the Windows platform. It is currently written in C/C++. It uses an instruction caching/recompilation scheme to achieve better performance while emulating the CPU.

GearSystem Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: GearSystem GearSystem Git (2026/04/14) is complied. GearSystem is a Sega Master System / Game Gear emulator written in C++ that runs on iOS, Raspberry Pi, Mac, Windows and Linux. The main focus of this emulator is readability of source code with very high compatibility.

Gearboy Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: GearboyGearboy Git (2026/04/14) is compiled. Gearboy is a Nintendo Game Boy emulator written in C++. The emulator is focused on readability of source code, but nevertheless it has good compatibility. A lot of effort has gone into this in order to follow OOP and keep it as simple as possible.

FB Neo Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: FB AlphaFB Neo Git (2026/04/14) is compiled. FinalBurn Neo is an Emulator for Arcade Games & Select Consoles. It is based on the emulators FinalBurn and old versions of MAME.

Fceux Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR:FceuxFceux Git (2026/04/14) is compiled. FCEUX is a cross platform, NTSC and PAL Famicom/NES emulator that is an evolution of the original FCE Ultra emulator. Over time FCE Ultra had separated into many separate branches. The concept behind FCEUX is to merge elements from FCE Ultra, FCEU rerecording, FCEUXD, FCEUXDSP, and FCEU-mm into a single branch of FCEU. As the X implies, it is an all-encompassing FCEU emulator that gives the best of all worlds for the general player, the ROM-hacking community, and the Tool-Assisted Speedrun Community.

DOSBox-X Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: DOSBoxDOSBox-X Git (2026/04/14) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.

EmuCR: DolphinDolphin Git 2603-275 is compiled. This is the trunk of Dolphin Project. Dolphin is the first Gamecube emulator able to run commercial games! Dolphin is a Gamecube, Wii and Triforce (the arcade machine based on the Gamecube) emulator which supports many extra features and abilities not present on the original consoles. It has a partial Wii support and plays most Gamecube games.

PPSSPP Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: PPSSPPPPSSPP Git (2026/04/14) is compiled. PPSSPP is a fast and portable PSP emulator for Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux, written in C++.

Citron-NEO Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: Citron Citron-NEO Git (2026/04/14) is released. A reincarnation of the now gone yuzu emulator; stripped down to the bare minimal requirements.

Cxbx Reloaded (2026/04/14)

EmuCR:Xbox EmulatorsCxbx Reloaded (2026/04/14) is released. Cxbx-Reloaded is an emulator for running Microsoft Xbox (and eventually, Chihiro) games on Microsoft Windows. The project began life as a fork of Cxbx with added 64-bit support. Work is currently underway to backport some of the improvements from Dxbx. Cxbx-Reloaded is still pretty unstable, don't expect it to run much at this point.

BizHawk Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: BizHawkBizHawk Git (2026/04/14) is compiled. BizHawk is a A multi-system emulator written in C#. BizHawk provides nice features for casual gamers such as full screen, and joypad support in addition to full rerecording and debugging tools for all system cores.

Azahar Git (2026/04/14)

EmuCR: Azahar Azahar Git (2026/04/14) is compiled. An open-source 3DS emulator project based on Citra.

3Beans (2026/04/14)

3Beans (2026/04/14) is released. 3Beans emulates the 3DS at a low level, which means that it runs the entire OS as if it were on real hardware. It can boot the home menu and play cartridge-based games, but it's still young and has plenty of issues. It's currently fully interpreted and software-rendered, which makes it portable but slow. If the project matures enough, I might try to incorporate hardware acceleration or high-level elements to achieve reasonable speeds.

StarPSX v0.8.2

StarPSX v0.8.2 is released. StarPSX is a free and open-source PlayStation 1 emulator written in Rust. This project is highly work in progress and not suitable for playing games yet.

Pantheon v16.154

EmuCR: PantheonPantheon v16.154 is released. Pantheon is Windows desktop application with collection of games for video consoles and home computers from the past. The games are not the part of the application, instead they will be downloaded (with the game manual or review - if available) from the internet, after you activate the game. Downloaded files are stored on the local file system and will be available offline the next time you wish to play the game. Finally, the program file is loaded into the memory and executed inside the emulator. Current version has emulator of Atari 2600 with collection of 170 games, emulator of Atari 5200 with collection of 50 games and emulator of Atari 8-bit computers with collection of 26 games.

Nintendulator 0.985 beta (2026/04/26)

NintendulatorNintendulator 0.985 beta (2026/04/26) is released. Nintendulator is an open source Win32 NES emulator written in C (plus some assembly optimization). The original goal was to emulate the NES down to its hardware quirks; though it's fallen behind over the years, recent builds have caught up once again and can emulate certain behaviors most other emulators neglect to handle. However, this emulation precision comes at a price - a 1500MHz (estimated) or faster CPU is required to emulate at full speed.

HBMAME v0.245.32

EmuCR: HBMAMEHBMAME v0.245.32 is released. HBMAME (HomeBrew MAME) is a derivate of MAME, and contains various hacks and homebrews that are not included in MAME. It is based on the latest MAME source from SVN at the time of release.

StarPSX v0.8.1

StarPSX v0.8.1 is released. StarPSX is a free and open-source PlayStation 1 emulator written in Rust. This project is highly work in progress and not suitable for playing games yet.

Snes9x GX v4.5.8

EmuCR: Snes9x GXSnes9x GX v4.5.8 is released. Snes9x GX is a Super Nintendo(SFC) emulator based on Snes9x, ported to the Wii and GameCube. The code is a continuation of Softdev and Crunchy2's efforts, and uses libogc and devkitppc.

FCE Ultra GX v3.5.7

EmuCR: FCE Ultra GXFCE Ultra GX v3.5.7 is released. FCE Ultra GX is a modified port of the FCE Ultra 0.98.12 Nintendo Entertainment system for x86 (Windows/Linux) PC's. With it you can play NES games on your Wii/GameCube(NGC). Version 2 is a complete rewrite based on code from SNES9x GX.

Dolphin VR Redux v0.2 - Hotfix inputs
