rpcs3 Git (2026/05/31) is compiled. RPCS3 is an open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger written in C++ for Windows and Linux. The emulator has been in development since early 2011 and currently supports modern DirectX 12, Vulkan and OpenGL renderers. The emulator is capable of booting and playing a decent amount of commercial games and PlayStation 3 SDK samples. Many more titles are also becoming playable with future development by contributors.

DuckStation Git (2026/06/01) is compiled. DuckStation is an simulator/emulator of the Sony PlayStation(TM) console, focusing on playability, speed, and long-term maintainability. The goal is to be as accurate as possible while maintaining performance suitable for low-end devices. "Hack" options are discouraged, the default configuration should support all playable games with only some of the enhancements having compatibility issues.

Dolphin is a Gamecube, Wii and Triforce (the arcade machine based on the Gamecube) emulator which supports many extra features and abilities not present on the original consoles. Nuance v0.6.7 is released. Nuance is a NUON game platform emulator. By now, emulation was improved a lot with many games now working almost correctly (except for "random" endless loops that still occur in the emulated code due to whacky audio syncing) in the new 0.6.X release.

Pantheon v16.272
Pantheon v16.272 is released. Pantheon is Windows desktop application with collection of games for video consoles and home computers from the past. The games are not the part of the application, instead they will be downloaded (with the game manual or review - if available) from the internet, after you activate the game. Downloaded files are stored on the local file system and will be available offline the next time you wish to play the game. Finally, the program file is loaded into the memory and executed inside the emulator. Current version has emulator of Atari 2600 with collection of 170 games, emulator of Atari 5200 with collection of 50 games and emulator of Atari 8-bit computers with collection of 26 games.

NegaMAME v0.288
NegaMAME v0.288 is released. NNegatron is a MAME dedicated front-end that has then been engineered to ease the task for users and be as intuitive as possible. On its first release in November 2015, it was the very first front-end to fully unlock the possibilities of machine configurations available in MAME. Some other front-ends caught up since. But when MAME changed its way to provide information to third-party front-ends in May 2017 with v0.186, it also prevented access to some important information to front-ends. In June 2018, Negatron has once again reiterated its prowess by working in association with the new MAME derivative called NegaMAME. NegaMAME behaves exactly like official MAME. But it simply adds a command that third-party front-ends can use to get back the information missing in MAME since v0.186, effectively helping Negatron to regain full access to all the features it already had in 2015.

(The development machine for Gopher2600 has been an i3-3225, dating from around 2012.)

GSE v0.6 is released. GSE (Game Boy Speedrun Emulator) is a Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance emulator written in C#. It is intended first and foremost to speedrunners, with various features placed in making it optimal for speedrunning use. This emulator is intended as a successor to the Gambatte-Speedrun emulator. As such, GSE uses the Gambatte emulation core for Game Boy and Game Boy Color emulation. New in GSE is Game Boy Advance emulation (i.e. with Game Boy Advance games), which currently uses the mGBA emulation core.
