WolfMame v0.289 is released. WolfMAME is a build which is optomised for MARP - MAME Action Replay Page, where literally thousands of MAME fans play, save and upload highscore attempts. WolfMAME does not allow the player to pause games, use cheats, change DIP switches etc to gain an unfair advantage.

EmuCR: SharpEmu SharpEmu Git (2026/07/31) is compiled. An experimental PlayStation 5 emulator for Windows, Linux and macOS.

rpcs3 Git (2026/07/31)

EmuCR: rpcs3 rpcs3 Git (2026/07/31) is compiled. RPCS3 is an open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger written in C++ for Windows and Linux. The emulator has been in development since early 2011 and currently supports modern DirectX 12, Vulkan and OpenGL renderers. The emulator is capable of booting and playing a decent amount of commercial games and PlayStation 3 SDK samples. Many more titles are also becoming playable with future development by contributors.

PCSX2 v2.7.508

EmuCR: PCSX2PCSX2 v2.7.508 is released. PCSX2 is a free and open-source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator. Its purpose is to emulate the PS2's hardware, using a combination of MIPS CPU Interpreters, Recompilers and a Virtual Machine which manages hardware states and PS2 system memory. This allows you to play PS2 games on your PC, with many additional features and benefits.

Panda3DS Git (2026/07/31)

Panda3DS Git (2026/07/31) is released. Panda3DS is an HLE, red-panda-themed Nintendo 3DS emulator written in C++ which started out as a fun project out of curiosity, but evolved into something that can sort of play games!

Project64 Git (2026/07/31)

EmuCR: Project 64Project64 Git (2026/07/31) is compiled. Project 64 is a proprietary Nintendo 64 emulator for Windows. It employs a plug-in system that allows third-party software developers to create their own implementation of a specified component. Project64 allows the user to play Nintendo 64 games on a computer by reading ROM images, either dumped from the read-only memory of a Nintendo 64 cartridge or created directly on the computer as homebrew. Project64 started as an exercise by Jabo and zilmar in an attempt to see if they were capable of programming a Nintendo 64 emulator. It's open source now.

NooDS Git (2026/07/31)

EmuCR: NooDSNooDS Git (2026/07/31) is compiled. A (hopefully!) speedy NDS emulator. NooDS is available for Linux, macOS, Windows, and the Nintendo Switch. Automatic builds are provided; to use them, you'll need to install wxWidgets on Linux or macOS, or the latest Visual C++ runtime library on Windows. NooDS doesn't provide high-level emulation of the BIOS yet. To actually run games, you'll need BIOS files, named "bios7.bin" and "bios9.bin", and a firmware file, named "firmware.bin", placed in the same directory as the executable. On the Switch, you'll also need to have a ROM file named "rom.nds" in the directory, because there's no file browser yet.

mGBA Git (2026/07/31)

EmuCR: mGBAmGBA Git (2026/07/31) is compiled. mGBA is a new emulator for running Game Boy Advance games. It aims to be faster and more accurate than many existing Game Boy Advance emulators, as well as adding features that other emulators lack.

melonDS Git (2026/07/31)

EmuCR: melonDSmelonDS Git (2026/07/31) is compiled. melonDS is an open source Nintendo DS(NDS) emulator. melonDS is part of a second wave of DS emulators. There are a few other emulator projects that are part of it, which you might have already heard of. Either way, check them out!

MesenCE Git (2026/07/31)

EmuCR: MesenMesenCE Git (2026/07/31) is released. Mesen is a multi-system emulator for Windows, Linux, and macOS. It supports NES, SNES, Game Boy (GB/SGB/GBC), Game Boy Advance, PC Engine, SMS/Game Gear, and WonderSwan (WS/WSC). MesenCE is a community-managed fork based on Mesen2, created to maintain and expand this emulator into the future.

FB Neo Git (2026/07/31)

EmuCR: FB AlphaFB Neo Git (2026/07/31) is compiled. FinalBurn Neo is an Emulator for Arcade Games & Select Consoles. It is based on the emulators FinalBurn and old versions of MAME.

Dolphin Git 2606-263

EmuCR: DolphinDolphin Git 2606-263 is compiled. This is the trunk of Dolphin Project. Dolphin is the first Gamecube emulator able to run commercial games! Dolphin is a Gamecube, Wii and Triforce (the arcade machine based on the Gamecube) emulator which supports many extra features and abilities not present on the original consoles. It has a partial Wii support and plays most Gamecube games.

PPSSPP Git (2026/07/31)

EmuCR: PPSSPPPPSSPP Git (2026/07/31) is compiled. PPSSPP is a fast and portable PSP emulator for Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux, written in C++.

Citron-NEO Git (2026/07/31)

EmuCR: Citron Citron-NEO Git (2026/07/31) is released. A reincarnation of the now gone yuzu emulator; stripped down to the bare minimal requirements.

QEMU v11.1 RC2

EmuCR: QEMUQEMU v11.1 RC2 is released. QEMU is a generic and open source machine emulator and virtualizer.When used as a machine emulator, QEMU can run OSes and programs made for one machine (e.g. an ARM board) on a different machine (e.g. your own PC). By using dynamic translation, it achieves very good performances.When used as a virtualizer, QEMU achieves near native performances by executing the guest code directly on the host CPU. A host driver called the QEMU accelerator (also known as KQEMU) is needed in this case. The virtualizer mode requires that both the host and guest machine use x86 compatible processors.

MameUI [formerly Mame32] is the GUI version of the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator, a program which seeks to document the internal hardware and code of all arcade games. Originally authored in 1997 by Chris Kirmse, it was the first port of Mame™ to the Windows platform.

Mameinfo.dat v0.289 is released. detailed mame game information (including version added, number of players, game status, cpu/audio chips, display info and maws hall of fame ratings). Provides Recommended Games for GameEx.

MAME v0.289

MAMEMAME v0.289 is released. MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. When used in conjunction with images of the original arcade game's ROM and disk data, MAME attempts to reproduce that game as faithfully as possible on a more modern general-purpose computer. MAME can currently emulate several thousand different classic arcade video games from the late 1970s through the modern era.

PadForge v4.1.0

EmuCR: Azahar  PadForge v4.1.0 is released. Modern controller mapping utility for Windows. Maps any controller, keyboard, or mouse to virtual Xbox 360, DualShock 4, custom DirectInput, or MIDI controllers via ViGEmBus, vJoy, and Windows MIDI Services that games and applications see as real hardware.

NgpCraft Emulator v2.9

NgpCraft Emulator v2.9 is released. A Neo Geo Pocket / Neo Geo Pocket Color emulator: a fast native C++ core (TLCS-900H + Z80 + K2GE video) driven by a PyQt6 desktop shell. Its timing is calibrated against real hardware — instruction-fetch wait-states on the cartridge flash, silicon-measured MUL/DIV and LDIR costs — so self-timed games (Cool Boarders Pocket, Densha de Go) run at their true 30 fps instead of the ~2× too fast that most emulators show.

Luna's Project64 v3.7.2

Luna's Project64 v3.7.2 is released. This is a fork of Project64 3.0.1 that was made to have a Linux compatible alternative to 2.4 (Yes, it works on Windows too). It is not focused on accuracy or compatibility, but rather on functionality that improves the general gameplay experience on a select set of games. As such, it removes the nagware screen, and it contains the plugins that are necessary to play these games without issues.

Supermodel3-PonMi (2026/07/30)

EmuCR: SupermodelSupermodel3-PonMi (2026/07/30) is released. Supermodel3 PonMi is a fork (modified version) of the Supermodel emulator designed to play Sega Model 3 arcade games on your computer.

KytyPS5 (2026/07/31)

KytyPS5 (2026/07/31) is released. KytyPS5 is a PlayStation 5 compatibility layer. The project is still in an early stage of development, so compatibility is limited and behavior may change quickly between builds.

Xenia Edge Git (2026/07/31)

EmuCR: XeniaXenia Edge Git (2026/07/31) is released. Xenia Edge is yet another experimental fork of the Xenia emulator, mainly based on Xenia Canary but with the aim of quicker iteration and improvements to Vulkan backend and Linux platform in particular. Windows of course remains fully supported as well and will benefit from changes made here especially with its Vulkan backend.
