The Atari 2600 Video Computer System (VCS), introduced in 1977, was the most popular home video game system of the early 1980's. Eden v0.0.4-RC3

EmuCR: EdenEden v0.0.4-RC3 is released. Eden is the world's most popular open-source Nintendo Switch emulator, forked from the Yuzu emulator — started by former Citron developer Camille LaVey and the Eden team. It is written in C++ with portability in mind, and we actively maintain builds for Windows, Linux and Android.

WinVICE r45866

EmuCR: SDLVICE WinVICE r45866 is released. WinVICE is a program that executes programs intended for the old 8-bit computers. The current version emulates the C64, the C128, the VIC20, all the PET models (except the SuperPET 9000, which is out of line anyway), the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610).

Xenia Git (2025/11/23)

EmuCR: XeniaXenia Git (2025/11/23) is compiled. Xenia is an experimental emulator for the Xbox 360. It does not run games (yet).

Xenia Edge Git (2025/11/23)

EmuCR: XeniaXenia Edge Git (2025/11/23) is released. Xenia Edge is yet another experimental fork of the Xenia emulator, mainly based on Xenia Canary but with the aim of quicker iteration and improvements to Vulkan backend and Linux platform in particular. Windows of course remains fully supported as well and will benefit from changes made here especially with its Vulkan backend.

rpcs3 Git (2025/11/23)

EmuCR: rpcs3 rpcs3 Git (2025/11/23) is compiled. RPCS3 is an open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger written in C++ for Windows and Linux. The emulator has been in development since early 2011 and currently supports modern DirectX 12, Vulkan and OpenGL renderers. The emulator is capable of booting and playing a decent amount of commercial games and PlayStation 3 SDK samples. Many more titles are also becoming playable with future development by contributors.

Project64 Git (2025/11/23)

EmuCR: Project 64Project64 Git (2025/11/23) is compiled. Project 64 is a proprietary Nintendo 64 emulator for Windows. It employs a plug-in system that allows third-party software developers to create their own implementation of a specified component. Project64 allows the user to play Nintendo 64 games on a computer by reading ROM images, either dumped from the read-only memory of a Nintendo 64 cartridge or created directly on the computer as homebrew. Project64 started as an exercise by Jabo and zilmar in an attempt to see if they were capable of programming a Nintendo 64 emulator. It's open source now.

PCSX2 v2.5.317

EmuCR: PCSX2PCSX2 v2.5.317 is released. PCSX2 is a free and open-source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator. Its purpose is to emulate the PS2's hardware, using a combination of MIPS CPU Interpreters, Recompilers and a Virtual Machine which manages hardware states and PS2 system memory. This allows you to play PS2 games on your PC, with many additional features and benefits.

OpenMSX Git (2025/11/23)

EmuCR:OpenMSX OpenMSX Git (2025/11/23) is compiled. OpenMSX is an open source MSX emulator which is free according to the Debian Free Software Guidelines, available under the GNU General Public License.For copyright reasons the emulator cannot be distributed with original BIOS ROM images. OpenMSX includes C-BIOS a minimal implementation of the MSX BIOS, allowing to play quite some games without the need to have an original MSX BIOS ROM image. You can also use your own BIOS ROM image if you please.

Flycast Git (2025/11/23)

EmuCR: Flycast Flycast Git (2025/11/23) is compiled. Flycast is a multi-platform Sega Dreamcast, Naomi and Atomiswave emulator derived from reicast.

FB Neo Git (2025/11/23)

EmuCR: FB AlphaFB Neo Git (2025/11/23) is compiled. FinalBurn Neo is an Emulator for Arcade Games & Select Consoles. It is based on the emulators FinalBurn and old versions of MAME.

PPSSPP Git (2025/11/23)

EmuCR: PPSSPPPPSSPP Git (2025/11/23) is compiled. PPSSPP is a fast and portable PSP emulator for Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux, written in C++.

DuckStation Git (2025/11/23)

EmuCR: DuckStation DuckStation Git (2025/11/23) is compiled. DuckStation is an simulator/emulator of the Sony PlayStation(TM) console, focusing on playability, speed, and long-term maintainability. The goal is to be as accurate as possible while maintaining performance suitable for low-end devices. "Hack" options are discouraged, the default configuration should support all playable games with only some of the enhancements having compatibility issues.

Dolphin Git 2509-510

EmuCR: DolphinDolphin Git 2509-510 is compiled. This is the trunk of Dolphin Project. Dolphin is the first Gamecube emulator able to run commercial games! Dolphin is a Gamecube, Wii and Triforce (the arcade machine based on the Gamecube) emulator which supports many extra features and abilities not present on the original consoles. It has a partial Wii support and plays most Gamecube games.

3Beans (2025/11/22)

3Beans (2025/11/23) is released. 3Beans emulates the 3DS at a low level, which means that it runs the entire OS as if it were on real hardware. It can boot the home menu and play cartridge-based games, but it's still young and has plenty of issues. It's currently fully interpreted and software-rendered, which makes it portable but slow. If the project matures enough, I might try to incorporate hardware acceleration or high-level elements to achieve reasonable speeds.
