EmuCR: Vita3KVita3K Git (2026/05/11) is compiled. Vita3K is an experimental PlayStation Vita emulator for Windows, Linux and macOS. The emulator currently runs a few homebrew programs in .vpk format. No commercial games are playable.

EmuCR: ShadPS4ShadPS4-QtLauncher (2026/05/10) is released. QtLauncher is the official launcher for shadPS4. ShadPS4 is an early PS4 emulator for Windows and Linux written in C++.

rpcs3 Git (2026/05/11)

EmuCR: rpcs3 rpcs3 Git (2026/05/11) is compiled. RPCS3 is an open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger written in C++ for Windows and Linux. The emulator has been in development since early 2011 and currently supports modern DirectX 12, Vulkan and OpenGL renderers. The emulator is capable of booting and playing a decent amount of commercial games and PlayStation 3 SDK samples. Many more titles are also becoming playable with future development by contributors.

PCSX2 v2.7.330

EmuCR: PCSX2PCSX2 v2.7.330 is released. PCSX2 is a free and open-source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator. Its purpose is to emulate the PS2's hardware, using a combination of MIPS CPU Interpreters, Recompilers and a Virtual Machine which manages hardware states and PS2 system memory. This allows you to play PS2 games on your PC, with many additional features and benefits.

melonDS Git (2026/05/11)

EmuCR: melonDSmelonDS Git (2026/05/11) is compiled. melonDS is an open source Nintendo DS(NDS) emulator. melonDS is part of a second wave of DS emulators. There are a few other emulator projects that are part of it, which you might have already heard of. Either way, check them out!

FB Neo Git (2026/05/11)

EmuCR: FB AlphaFB Neo Git (2026/05/11) is compiled. FinalBurn Neo is an Emulator for Arcade Games & Select Consoles. It is based on the emulators FinalBurn and old versions of MAME.

Flycast Git (2026/05/11)

EmuCR: Flycast Flycast Git (2026/05/11) is compiled. Flycast is a multi-platform Sega Dreamcast, Naomi and Atomiswave emulator derived from reicast.

DuckStation Git (2026/05/11)

EmuCR: DuckStation DuckStation Git (2026/05/11) is compiled. DuckStation is an simulator/emulator of the Sony PlayStation(TM) console, focusing on playability, speed, and long-term maintainability. The goal is to be as accurate as possible while maintaining performance suitable for low-end devices. "Hack" options are discouraged, the default configuration should support all playable games with only some of the enhancements having compatibility issues.

DOSBox-X Git (2026/05/11)

EmuCR: DOSBoxDOSBox-X Git (2026/05/11) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.

PPSSPP Git (2026/05/11)

EmuCR: PPSSPPPPSSPP Git (2026/05/11) is compiled. PPSSPP is a fast and portable PSP emulator for Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux, written in C++.

Citron-NEO Git (2026/05/11)

EmuCR: Citron Citron-NEO Git (2026/05/11) is released. A reincarnation of the now gone yuzu emulator; stripped down to the bare minimal requirements.

Ares Git (2026/05/11)

EmuCR: aresAres Git (2026/05/11) is compiled. ares is a multi-system emulator that began development on October 14th, 2004. It is a descendent of higan and bsnes, and focuses on accuracy and preservation.

3Beans (2026/05/11)

EmuCR: 3Beans3Beans (2026/05/11) is released. 3Beans emulates the 3DS at a low level, which means that it runs the entire OS as if it were on real hardware. It can boot the home menu and play cartridge-based games, but it's still young and has plenty of issues. It's currently fully interpreted and software-rendered, which makes it portable but slow. If the project matures enough, I might try to incorporate hardware acceleration or high-level elements to achieve reasonable speeds.

Altirra v4.50 Test 10

EmuCR:AltirraAltirra v4.50 Test 10 is released. Altirra is an Atari 8 bit Emulator on the Windows/DOS platform. Altirra emulates several models of the 8-bit Atari computers. This includes the the 800, 800XL, and 130XE versions. It has a lot of options, and compatibility is decent especially given the emulator's early stages. It also supports some copy protected games properly in emulation.

NanoBoyAdvance v1.8.3

EmuCR NanoBoyAdvanceNanoBoyAdvance v1.8.3 is released. NanoboyAdvance is a Nintendo Game Boy Advance (TM) emulator written in C++17. The goal is to create a minimal, accurate and reasonably efficient Game Boy Advance emulator in modern C++. The emulator implements the core hardware completely and with high accuracy. Almost all games can be emulated without any known issues, even the 'Classic NES' titles which abuse a variety of edge-cases and undefined behaviour.

DS4MapperTest v0.0.28

DS4MapperTest v0.0.28 is released. Mainly used as a test ground for trying out different mapping ideas. The application can currently support using a DualShock 4, DualSense, 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless, Steam Controller, JoyCon, and Switch Pro.

Simple Launcher v5.4.0

Simple Launcher v5.4.0 is released. Simple Launcher is an emulator frontend that makes playing retro games a breeze.

clownmdemu v1.6.11

EmuCR: clownmdemuclownmdemu v1.6.11 is released. This is clownmdemu, a Sega Mega Drive (a.k.a. Sega Genesis) emulator. It is currently in the very early stages of development: it can run some games, but many standard features of the Mega Drive are unemulated (see clownmdemu-frontend-common/clownmdemu/TODO.md for more information).

WinVICE r46098

EmuCR: SDLVICE WinVICE r46098 is released. WinVICE is a program that executes programs intended for the old 8-bit computers. The current version emulates the C64, the C128, the VIC20, all the PET models (except the SuperPET 9000, which is out of line anyway), the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610).

PadForge v3.1.4

EmuCR: Azahar  PadForge v3.1.4 is released. Modern controller mapping utility for Windows. Maps any controller, keyboard, or mouse to virtual Xbox 360, DualShock 4, custom DirectInput, or MIDI controllers via ViGEmBus, vJoy, and Windows MIDI Services that games and applications see as real hardware.

Xenia Edge Git (2026/05/11)

EmuCR: XeniaXenia Edge Git (2026/05/11) is released. Xenia Edge is yet another experimental fork of the Xenia emulator, mainly based on Xenia Canary but with the aim of quicker iteration and improvements to Vulkan backend and Linux platform in particular. Windows of course remains fully supported as well and will benefit from changes made here especially with its Vulkan backend.
