Email UsGameInit.dat v0.289 is released. This file lists the initialization procedures of some games emulated by MAME; in fact, some of them, the first time are not immediately playable.
ColecoDS v11.0 is released. ColecoDS is a Colecovision, ADAM, MSX1, Sord-M5, Memotech MTX, Spectravision SVI and SG-1000/SC-3000 for the Nintedo DS/DSi. To run requires a coleco.rom BIOS to be in the same directory as the emulator or else in /roms/bios or /data/bios.
NGPDS v0.6.0 is released. This is a SNK Neogeo Pocket emulator for Nintendo DS(i)/3DS.
KytyPS5 (2026/08/21) is released. KytyPS5 is a PlayStation 5 compatibility layer. The project is still in an early stage of development, so compatibility is limited and behavior may change quickly between builds.

PadForge v4.3.0 is released. Modern controller mapping utility for Windows. Maps any controller, keyboard, or mouse to virtual Xbox 360, DualShock 4, custom DirectInput, or MIDI controllers via ViGEmBus, vJoy, and Windows MIDI Services that games and applications see as real hardware.
Xenia Edge Git (2026/08/21) is released. Xenia Edge is yet another experimental fork of the Xenia emulator, mainly based on Xenia Canary but with the aim of quicker iteration and improvements to Vulkan backend and Linux platform in particular. Windows of course remains fully supported as well and will benefit from changes made here especially with its Vulkan backend.
WinVICE r46216 is released. WinVICE is a program that executes programs intended for the old 8-bit computers. The current version emulates the C64, the C128, the VIC20, all the PET models (except the SuperPET 9000, which is out of line anyway), the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610).
Snes9xrd v0.3 is released. This is snes9xrd, a personal fork of Snes9x 1.63 maintained by DeAtSoUl56. It tracks upstream master closely — there's no separate feature branch — but rebuilds the Qt front-end and fixes bugs found along the way. Everything else (the emulation core, and the GTK/win32/macOS/libretro front-ends) is stock Snes9x.
SpeccySE v2.1a is released. SpeccySE is a ZX Spectrum 48K / 128K Emulator for the DS/DSi. To run requires one or both of the original ZX Spectrum BIOS ROMs. Place 48.ROM and 128.ROM (exactly so named) into the same directory as the emulator or else in /roms/bios or /data/bios
Xpeccy 0.6.20260820 is released. Xpeccy is an emulator for ZX Spectrum running on the Unix/Linux OS.
MAME4droid 2026(0.289) v1.38.3 is released. MAME4droid is developed by David Valdeita (Seleuco) as a port of the MAME emulator by MAMEDev and contributors. It emulates arcade games and systems like ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, MSX etc. This version of MAME support over 40000 different ROMs.
Xenia Manager v4.3.2 is released. Xenia Manager is a tool designed to simplify the use of the Xenia Emulator. It aims to make playing games and installing specific game patches more straightforward and user-friendly, while also providing an easy-to-use interface for adjusting Xenia settings. Xenia is an experimental emulator for the Xbox 360.
VisualBoyAdvance-M Git (2026/08/20) is compiled. VisualBoyAdvance-M(VBA-M) is a [Super] Game Boy [Color / Advance] emulator for Windows, Linux & Mac. Here you can get information about the latest development build of the Windows version and download it while you're at it.
ShadPS4 Pre (2026/08/19) is released. An early PS4 emulator for Windows and Linux written in C++.
rpcs3 Git (2026/08/20) is compiled. RPCS3 is an open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger written in C++ for Windows and Linux. The emulator has been in development since early 2011 and currently supports modern DirectX 12, Vulkan and OpenGL renderers. The emulator is capable of booting and playing a decent amount of commercial games and PlayStation 3 SDK samples. Many more titles are also becoming playable with future development by contributors.
PCSX2 v2.7.523 is released. PCSX2 is a free and open-source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator. Its purpose is to emulate the PS2's hardware, using a combination of MIPS CPU Interpreters, Recompilers and a Virtual Machine which manages hardware states and PS2 system memory. This allows you to play PS2 games on your PC, with many additional features and benefits.
