DOSBox-X Git (2025/12/19) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.
DOSBox-X Changelog:
* DOSBox IG: Actually, just use the ratio of width to height. The VESA BIOS modes are meant to display either 4:3 or 16:9 images. For any custom ratios, write your own driver (at this time)
* DOSBox IG: For 4:3 check include the oddball S3 modes in the modelist
* DOSBox IG 320x200 VESA BIOS modes also need to be corrected to 4:3
* DOSBox IG, video debug overlay show aspect ratio
* DOSBox IG add a way to control display aspect ratio, for specific modes, and so the guest drivers can control it as well
* DOSBox IG: Latch HPEL, like VGA does, to avoid tearlines in 1bpp/4bpp/planar
* Show HPEL
* Hm, actually, the DOSBox IG interface for planar modes should represent bytes. Do not make external drivers have to assume the way that DOSBox-X internally representa planar VGA memory
* Add/fix DOSBoxIG hpel
* Bring 16-color VGA planar into the special DOSBox IG supported modes
