The tool was created as an improved alternative to the now-unmaintained SwitchEmuModDownloader, which only supported vanilla Yuzu with hardcoded paths and frequently crashed on dead links. This version supports all Yuzu forks and is cross-platform, running on Linux, Windows, and macOS. It's completely standalone, comes as a tiny binary under 1 MB, and includes access to multiple trusted modder repositories for broader mod coverage.
