EmuCR: DOSBoxDOSBox-X Git (2026/05/11) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.

DOSBox-X Changelog:

* Merge pull request #6277 from orbisai0security/fix-enet-heap-overflow-integer-overflow-check
* fix: V-001 security vulnerability
* non-extended block devices cannot address more than 65536 sectors (32MB)
* more
* OSFREE fixup
* Merge remote-tracking branch 'origin/master' into main-osfree
* CHANGELOG
* Silence "no geometry" warning for MS-DOS device drivers in FAT driver
* Force FAT driver into absolute sector mode when talking to an MS-DOS block device driver. Skip hard disk partition checking for MS-DOS block devices, because the driver interface does not provide any way for the driver to present a partition table.
* Add very basic support for very basic MS-DOS block device drivers. At least enough that DOSBox-X can load Microsoft RAMDRIVE.SYS and present it as a drive letter
* constify
* block device read and parse BPB
* Add FIXME checks for cases that are uncommon, but possible, in MS-DOS device drivers
* Merge remote-tracking branch 'origin/master' into main-osfree
* Reduce copypasta and range check
* Oh, ha ha. In typical Microsoft fashion they forgot to mention that the init string passed to the device driver starts with the name of the driver, and RAMDRIVE.SYS is coded to assume that. Therefore, in order to get RAMDRIVE.SYS to stop ignoring the first parameter, we have to prepend the string with the device driver filename.
* Allow devices section to control what the next drive letter will be when loading a block device
* Block device: fill in drive number so that at least RAMDRIVE.SYS can stop claiming drive A:
* Fix bug that cleared the screen on second shell startup. Please do not
