  6. If you don't care about accuracy, don't use it. Many people don't enjoy emulation bugs, glitches etc. Accurate emulation is also important because these consoles are really old now and it's getting harder to obtain them in good condition. And even if you would find one, chances are it won't work well with a modern TV. (Input lag, pixellation, aspect ratio issues, etc)

  7. NES hardware is very well documented. No need to get your hands on the real hardware to build up a fuc*ing "accurate" Dual Core NES emulator. There it is.

  8. You don't need a dual core CPU to emulate the NES. You DO need a dual core CPU to emulate 30 of them at once, though.

But, hey, if you don't want to use it, that's fine with me.

  9. @#8: I, like many others, am not a developer. I have started collecting consoles recently because I'm tired of dealing emulation bugs/glitches when I just want a good gaming experience. If you want to try making an accurate emulator with low hardware requirements though, fine, good luck with that.

There are a bunch of bugfree NES emulators out there. All games emulate perfetly. No bugs. So no need for a pointless dual core Nes emulator.

  11. I was skeptical about another NES emulator but I gave this program a try. No GUI for changing settings - must change options/config in the .ini file directly.

On the pluses side, the program ran easily on my system (~5% CPU utilization). So, I don't think the program is that demanding. And, the program ran VERY smoothly - a definite plus!

  12. One more note - It does not support .zip rom files.
