EmuCR: MameUIHiScoreMicro64 v1.00.2012.07.05 Build 707 is released. Micro64 is a freeware commodore c64 emulator. Currently micro64 has two different VIC II emulation modes: cycle exact (default, works fine) and half-cycle exact (next-gen, rudimentary implementation – currently damn slow).

  1. The Micro64 is going to be the best c64 emu one day. And what is visible even now is that is a miles ahead of the all other C64 emus - and almost only one that is still in visible active everyday development.
    Just keep the good work and don't bother with the trolls as there are many who support your hard work. So just keep going with a good work. Cheers.

  2. Hi, sorry for insulting you earlier on, but you ignore me on all my requests, so what can I do ?

    Your joystick detection is working fine, this is not the problem, it detects everything ok. The problem is the joystick detection defaults to the first DEFAULT AXIS, for axis control.

    You see the bottom 2 analog thumbsticks, the one on the left is the one it defaults to, I would like to use the left upper d-pad.

    This means that controlling anything with a joystick in your emulator is done via the first ANALOG thumbstick, and I would like to use the DIGITAL D-Pad, but I cannot do this because of the above.
    If you could allow me to manually configure LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN, I could map these to the digital d-pad, the settings could then be saved in the micro64.stg file.

    Is this possible ?

    1. Can you test the current new build 707 first, which I've tried to fix the joystick auto-detection and the joystick hats handling?

    2. Hi, thanks for new build but nothing has changed with regards to joystick.
      Like I said before, everything is detected fine, so your detection is working ok, but I can still only use the main default analog axis1.
      The digital D-Pad is axis3, while the 2nd thumbstick is axis2, they don't all work as one axis.

      Anyway, thanks for the build.

  3. To Anonymous #2, the developers are NOT ignoring you, its just that this site only compiles the latest revisions of most emulators for people unable to do so themselves, so which means, the developers of these emulators DO NOT VISIT this site what so ever!!!
    To tell the developers themselves about Bugs & other problems, you need to go to there personal websites or forums and speak directly with them. Is that clear?

  4. Hope someone can help me with this:
    Is there a way to configure the PC keyboard keys as a joystick?
    Cant find that option or dont know if those keys are already pre-assigned, many TIA

    1. Try the numpad :) Numlock swaps the joysticks 1&2 for the numpad control, and numpad 0 is then the fire button.
