EmuCR:DEmulDEmul v0.58 WIP is released. DEmul is a Sega Dreamcast(DC) emulator able to play commercial games.

  1. wonder if they will make a x64 version anytime soon

    some games run great many have sound glitches but I am enjoying the progress. I wish this project the best of luck.

  2. It seems the compatibility is the same as 0.57 version... a little faster btw. Dreamcast Rush 2049 dont work.

  4. great found a new problem already? its gonna take ages to find all the new romsets so now weve gotta wait till emuparadise gametronik etc rom sites to upload the working roms.. so more paitience in this 30 degree heat is NOT what i need atm :( :/

    1. Compared to 0.57, is not worth it for me and for my computer, if they made for x64 i will test and check it.
      Can be better.
      I can´t play Hikaru Games, because the CPU will increase to 75%, i don´t know what the problem is. I just know is, when we play onces is quick, when we play for the secound time goes slow.
      Please turn off the option Time Hack on Dreamcast Region/Broadcast, it will give you more speed. (If i tell you is a mistake.)

      Unknown - The Dreamcast/Naomi/Atomiswave - Works with DX10 and DX11
      Hikaru/Galeco - Only DX11.

    2. Jonathan - About roms, if you have mame full-set you can get a big part of the roms, wait for retroroms fórum for the release of the lastest roms are missing. (Including Smashing Drive) minimum 1 or 3 days max, to released them. It can be released right now, i will go check this out. =)

    3. yea i saw the torrent demul 0.5.8 complete romset its something ridonkulous like 29 gb as a torrent??? and theres only 8 people seeding it atm alos you need to be a member i did a new profile and im still waiting 4 confirmation >:(

  5. Dx11 plugin do not work for me - failed to create buffer.
    Dx10 plugin seem to work fine.
    W7 670Gtx all drivers up to date.

    1. nvid 670gtx :o fml ive a amd6450 and all hikaru games run 40fps sound stutttering :/
      galeco atv runs fine no prob
      smashing drive cant find rom
      ninja assualt mouse lightgun controls buggered i can only reload :(
      naomi 2 games are a lil better but never silky smooth as on the klast revision now that the so called glithces bugs and missing objects are now fully rendered making the cpu slow down and bottle fps :(
      demul runs at 900000mb of my 4gb of ram its insane more cpu demanding than starwars online old republic and starcraft 2 with y settings on ultra :0 ffs
      demul wip after all still not finished thank god :)

      you must calibrate lighgun in service menu, just like on real arcade
      btw many other arcades require lightgun or analogue controls calibration

    3. I find where are the problem - i can't use more of 2x internal resolution with DX11 and at 6x on DX10 didn't crash but it's very slow.

    4. same 2x = super sound stuttering vsync on naomi off = choppy gfx vsync on = smooth fps hikaru -vsync on = lag very laggy -vsync 0ff = better fps :) not playable at all though shame

    5. hey metallic i though so it needed confic i have the jvs test mode for that game enabled but when i get to the test mode i cant move up or down just select one option :/?????

    PS advance warning that the version is still a WIP, and it can still be a lot of mistakes, and to run the emulator requires quite a powerful machine with hardware support for at least DX10, otherwise you will still be able to run the emulator, but the emulation speed will unacceptable for a full game.

    Before the work must be removed prior INI files and clear the folder SCACHE. And to be sure to avoid any problems, you should also remove the old FLASH files for DREAMCAST and perhaps clear a folder NVRAM.

    It's problem from Naomi 2 and Hikaru, don´t use it.
    They need shaders to run powefull computers, maybe one day they can run better =)

    The rest they just run fine.

    DX9? I don´t know =(

  8. I am running this on a i7x 3970 3.5 6 cores crossfire amd 7990 graphics 64 gig of ram and a specialist sound card from asus and this emulator is running great full speed in a lot of games some still buggy or not working but it is a wip but thisis better than 0.58 a lot keep up the good work

  11. In Dead or Alive 2 is still slow, but some bugs have been fixed, and I hope that at least the team Demul not abandon the dreancast how the team did nullDC. I think this emulator should be done in directx9 why it is much faster than DirectX10 and 11.

  12. Streched aspect ratio issue in fullscreen mode was recently fixed on Google code.

    Could anyone publish a new build including the fix ? I'm trying to compile from source right now but I'm not sure I'll succeed...
