Nextendo v1.7.5 is released. Nextendo is a fork of the open-source Ryujinx Nintendo Switch emulator. On top of Ryujinx's excellent accuracy and performance, Nextendo adds a first-class, built-in client for the Nextendo Network — a community-run replacement for the official online service — so supported games can be played online again without any manual configuration, custom hosts file, or SSL bypass on the user's part. The emulation core (CPU, GPU, audio, input, filesystem) is unchanged from upstream Ryujinx. Nextendo's additions are limited to the networking layer and the surrounding user experience.
Nextendo Changelog:
uigi's Mansion 3 joins Nextendo
Luigi's Mansion 3 is now a supported title. Grab a friend and take the ScareScraper online on Nextendo.
Play Luigi's Mansion 3 online. The game is recognised by the emulator and offered online like every other supported title. You need game version 1.4.0 — that is the version Nextendo servers speak, and the emulator will tell you if your copy is on a different one.
Server lookup fix. Some games ask the system to resolve a server name from a buffer that keeps leftover bytes after the name itself. Those leftovers used to stay attached to the lookup, which then quietly failed and left the game unable to connect. The name is now read correctly.
Notes
Luigi's Mansion 3 online play is brand new here. If you hit an error code, the code itself plus what you were doing when it appeared is what makes it fixable — please report it that way.
Thanks to @LITTLECHOPT8 for the Luigi's Mansion 3 server work and for the name-resolution fix in this release.
