CosmoU v0.11.2 is released. CosmoU – The most beautiful way to play Wii U games on PC. A free Cemu frontend with Liquid Glass design, automatic setup, multiple view modes (including a Wii U-style home menu), and simple per-game settings. Built for nostalgia and ease of use.

✨ A better UI everywhere
Quick Menu (Q, the ⋯ button or the controller's Home button): clock, your last played games, quick switches for music, UI sounds, 3D cases, TV mode, light/dark and the music volume, plus a shortcut to every window
Favorites: press F (or use the game menu) – favorites get a star in every view and their own filter
Sort & filter: A–Z, Z–A, recently played or most played; show all games, favorites, Wii U games or other apps – remembered between starts
Game menu: right-click a game (or press X on the controller / the Menu key) for Play, Details, Favorite, Graphic packs, Show in folder, Add to Steam and Copy name
New game details: play time, last played, sessions and first played at a glance, region and title ID, a big Play button with a favorite button next to it and clear tool tiles
Covers: two games on each side, and a line with favorite, region, play time, last played and the position in the list
Grid: the big banner shows the same details; Recently played is grouped into Today, Yesterday, This week and Earlier
Shortcuts: press ? for every key and controller button (also in Settings → Controllers & TV)
Search shows how many games match, / jumps to it and Esc clears it; 1 · 2 · 3 switch between Covers, Grid and Wii U Look
Theme gallery with groups (Wii U & Switch, Home consoles, Handhelds, Own) and a Surprise me button
Games without a cover get a nicer box with their full name; empty library shows the three steps to your first game
The first-time setup has a new step to pick your theme
Daily Log shows each game's share of your play time; a tip appears while a game starts
Icons in the bottom bar and the view switch, better spacing in small windows, and readable section titles in every dark theme
🏠 New Home Menu
The Home Menu layout in Wii U Look is redesigned: clock and battery at the top, a 5 × 3 grid of your games, the game's name below and page dots
Buttons on the left (CosmoU menu, your buddy, Settings) and on the right (Wii U GamePad for controller settings, Power, Plaza)
⚙️ New Settings
One window with categories on the left: Cemu & Games, Appearance, Graphics, Sound & Music, Overlay, Controllers & TV, Buddies & Plaza, Saves & Data and About – the Graphics settings are part of it now
Search across every setting (Ctrl + F), real on/off switches, a music volume slider and choosing your own music file
Works with a controller: D-pad to move, A to press, B to go back, LB/RB to switch categories
🎨 6 new handheld themes
Game & Watch (silver LCD, black segments, red buttons), Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP and Game Boy Micro – each with its own look, an original menu tune and a startup jingle
Light and dark for all of them; Game & Watch and Game Boy Pocket redraw every cover in the screen's own colors
🧩 Own themes
Settings → Appearance → Add own theme adds a theme file (.cosmoutheme) made by you or the community – with its own menu music if it has one
Share saves the theme you use as one file to send to friends; Remove deletes it again
Make your own: colors, background, selection style, font and corners in one small theme.json – see docs/THEMES.md; an example (PS4 Blue, with music) is in docs/examples
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Buddies
8 hairstyles with 10 hair colors, 4 kinds of glasses and new hats: beanie, top hat, crown, party hat and headphones
Your buddies (and some of the crowd) walk over to the games you play most and cheer for them in the Plaza
Your buddy says hello when you start CosmoU
💾 Save backups
Back up and restore a game's save data in one click from its details
Automatic backup before every start (the last 10 are kept); restoring always backs up your current saves first
📺 TV mode
Fullscreen with a bigger UI for the couch, a controller or the Steam Deck
F11 or the controller's Select button switches it on and off; optionally start in TV mode
✨ Startup animation
A short intro with its own jingle for each of the 21 themes (any key skips it, can be turned off)
📊 Daily Log & Plaza posts
Play time per game, last session and a chart of the last 7 days
Write what your buddies say in the Plaza; after a longer session CosmoU offers to post it
🎮 Button mapping inside CosmoU
Map A, B, sticks and D-pad for an Xbox controller, an SDL controller or the keyboard without opening Cemu
Works for Wii U GamePad, Pro Controller, Classic Controller and Wiimote + Nunchuk
📦 Updates & DLC
Finds update and DLC folders, shows what's installed and installs them where Cemu looks for them
🟦 Add to Steam
Add CosmoU or single games to Steam with their covers as artwork – great for Big Picture and the Steam Deck
