Nextendo v1.9.8 is released. Nextendo is a fork of the open-source Ryujinx Nintendo Switch emulator. On top of Ryujinx's excellent accuracy and performance, Nextendo adds a first-class, built-in client for the Nextendo Network — a community-run replacement for the official online service — so supported games can be played online again without any manual configuration, custom hosts file, or SSL bypass on the user's part. The emulation core (CPU, GPU, audio, input, filesystem) is unchanged from upstream Ryujinx. Nextendo's additions are limited to the networking layer and the surrounding user experience.

Nextendo Changelog:
macOS online fix
Splatoon 3 on macOS stopped at error 2321-4992 as soon as it tried to go online. The emulator handed the game an unknown network error code where it should have said "no data yet", so the game closed its connection to the Nextendo servers before logging in. This is fixed: Splatoon 3 connects again on macOS, and so do the other games that read the network the same way.
Windows and Linux are not affected by this bug and behave exactly as in 1.9.7.
Update
macOS players: update to this version to play Splatoon 3 online. The built-in updater offers it (Help > Check for Updates, or System Update in the HOME Menu) and keeps your data: keys, saves and account stay in place. You can also download Ryujinx-Nextendo-1.9.8-macos_universal.tar.gz below, extract it and replace Ryujinx.app (right-click > Open the first time, the app is not notarized).
