Test7800 v0.2.0 is released. Test7800 is an experimental emulator for the Atari 7800. It's not complete and is missing some important features but it plays many of the 7800 ROM files that are available. It supports a78 files and will emulate regular "flat" ROM files and also "supergame" ROM files. It does not yet emulate the POKEY chip and similar hardware. The 6502, TIA and RIOT emulation is taken from Gopher2600 and is therefore well tested. The implemenation of the MARIA is new to this project.
ChonkyStation3 Git (2025/08/12) is complied. ChonkyStation3 is a work-in-progress emulator for the PlayStation 3 system. It can currently boot a few simple commercial games.
DuckStation Git (2025/08/12) is compiled. DuckStation is an simulator/emulator of the Sony PlayStation(TM) console, focusing on playability, speed, and long-term maintainability. The goal is to be as accurate as possible while maintaining performance suitable for low-end devices. "Hack" options are discouraged, the default configuration should support all playable games with only some of the enhancements having compatibility issues.
Dolphin Git 2506-355 is compiled. This is the trunk of Dolphin Project. Dolphin is the first Gamecube emulator able to run commercial games! Dolphin is a Gamecube, Wii and Triforce (the arcade machine based on the Gamecube) emulator which supports many extra features and abilities not present on the original consoles. It has a partial Wii support and plays most Gamecube games.
melonDS Git (2025/08/12) is compiled. melonDS is an open source Nintendo DS(NDS) emulator. melonDS is part of a second wave of DS emulators. There are a few other emulator projects that are part of it, which you might have already heard of. Either way, check them out!
Flycast Git (2025/08/12) is compiled. Flycast is a multi-platform Sega Dreamcast, Naomi and Atomiswave emulator derived from reicast.
Snes9x Git (2025/08/12) is compiled. Snes9x is a portable, freeware Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator. It basically allows you to play most games designed for the SNES and Super Famicom Nintendo game systems on your PC or Workstation; which includes some real gems that were only ever released in Japan. Snes9x is the result of well over three years worth of part-time hacking, coding, recoding, debugging, divorce, etc. (just kidding about the divorce bit). Snes9x is coded in C++, with three assembler CPU emulation cores on the i386 Linux and Windows ports.
DeSmuME Git (2025/08/12) is compiled. DeSmuME is an open source Nintendo DS(NDS) emulator for Linux, Mac OS and Windows. DeSmuME supports save states, the ability to increase the size of the screen and it supports filters to improve image quality. DeSmuME also supports microphone use on Windows and Linux ports, as well as direct video and audio recording. The emulator also features a built-in movie recorder.
FB Neo Git (2025/08/12) is compiled. FinalBurn Neo is an Emulator for Arcade Games & Select Consoles. It is based on the emulators FinalBurn and old versions of MAME.
PPSSPP Git (2025/08/12) is compiled. PPSSPP is a fast and portable PSP emulator for Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux, written in C++.
OpenMSX Git (2025/08/12) is compiled. OpenMSX is an open source MSX emulator which is free according to the Debian Free Software Guidelines, available under the GNU General Public License.For copyright reasons the emulator cannot be distributed with original BIOS ROM images. OpenMSX includes C-BIOS a minimal implementation of the MSX BIOS, allowing to play quite some games without the need to have an original MSX BIOS ROM image. You can also use your own BIOS ROM image if you please.
mGBA Git (2025/08/12) is compiled. mGBA is a new emulator for running Game Boy Advance games. It aims to be faster and more accurate than many existing Game Boy Advance emulators, as well as adding features that other emulators lack.
BizHawk Git (2025/08/12) is compiled. BizHawk is a A multi-system emulator written in C#. BizHawk provides nice features for casual gamers such as full screen, and joypad support in addition to full rerecording and debugging tools for all system cores.
Xenia Git (2025/08/12) is compiled. Xenia is an experimental emulator for the Xbox 360. It does not run games (yet).
GearSystem v3.8.3 is released. GearSystem is a Sega Master System / Game Gear emulator written in C++ that runs on iOS, Raspberry Pi, Mac, Windows and Linux. The main focus of this emulator is readability of source code with very high compatibility.
