Email UsPCSX2 SVN r4282 is released. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

Small Hack to prevent games which check the QWC/MADR for the end of a DMA transfer (instead of the BUSY flag, why???) from start writing the next transfer before the previous had finished, causing errors in some cases after the DMA write while busy prevention was added (Street Racing Syndicate)

i have 6 core amd 3500mhz
and gtx480 and still not work metal gear solid 3 and god of war...
i tried every hacks...
and without hack...
pcsx2 need something new... maybe if pcsx2 useing 3-or 4 core not only 2...
right now pcsx2 is not great...

I have a 4 core at 3.8Ghz and my 6870 and play MGS3 and God of War at 60+ FPS. Anon 1 you are a very bad driver.

I have p4 3.0 ht - nvidia 6200 old pci i get 20fps
Idoubt mr p3 can even turn his computer on

I have Phenom X4 920 at 2,8Ghz with gtx 460 and
i play MGS3 with 40-45 FPS. Playable ^_^v

I have:
CPU at 294.912 MHz
GPU at 147.456 MHz
and 32mb RDRAM
All the games are running full speed
some ppl rly dont have a clue bout pcsx2 resource requests. 1st pcsx2 only uses 2 CORES and the speed depends how high ur cpu is clocked (3.5GHz+ is good)and which SSE Instructions it supports SSE4.1 and above is ideal. 2nd the gpu can be any mid range gpu with dx10 support. u dant need some overkill shit

Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package & this fix your problem.
anon 11 i have clue about pcsx2 you know... i have 3600mhz 6 core and mgs3 dont work its really lagging ad god of war too and i tried every option..... but other games working fine... and we already know pcsx2 only use 2 core...

Let me guess, you have a 6 cores AMD cpu, right? Well, AMD CPUs are slower than Intel CPU. So, if you want your game to play fast, then OVERCLOCK! Or go play your ps2...
