EmuCR:PS2 emulatorPCSX2 SVN r4901 is released. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

PCSX2 SVN Changelog:
r4896
Copy USBqemu from the legacy plugins folder (to preserve history)
r4897
Made USBsetRAM work again. Required for the following commit.
r4898
Whoops sorry the file slipped through.
r4899
USBqemu:
- Upgraded some components of qemu-usb with a somewhat newer version from late 2010 (it was a recent version when I did the upgrades).
- Fixed the plugin to work with recent versions of pcsx2.
I will try to integrate the plugin into the build system tomorrow, and fix some more issues.
r4900
USBqemu: Missed a file.
r4901
USBqemu: Work around the IRQ double-throw spam by having a min number of cycles between IRQ calls. 100% guaranteed hackyness, but I can still type in MH so it will do until I can look at it without my eyes closing against my will.
Also make the project output into the plugins folder.

  5. Oh how I love when from time to time these mysterious byuu fans show up... It's honestly delightful to watch. It's unbelievable that either some people really do not posses the mystical power of common sense or that a dev for what is (IMO) really nice emu can sink this low to bother people like this. And if I'm not mistaken Byuu only made BSNES(which is great achievement nevertheless). Concerning it, BSNES is great emulator, but it's too demanding to be practical in terms that you have to have thousand times stronger PC than the thing you're emulating (I assume most people do, but still), hence making all the comments for applying the same principles to PS2 emulator all more stupid. Cause I kinda doubt people want to wait till PS8 for PS2 emu to be Byuu approved, in terms of games being playable at speeds that are with PCSX2. I'm using BSNES myself only cause I prefer it's interface to annoying ZNES and Snes9x, but even though my CPU is rather weakish (still have the old 3.0GHz Dual-core) it should never drop FPS, and it can sometimes happen to me with BSNES, henceforth... Go PCSX2 devs. The main goal for me is to play games on it at playable speeds for *current* mid-range computer builds without any larger issues, which for the most part (most games) both of these emulators do (in their own way). Also, even though some settings and speedhacks have a change of ruining the gameplay on PCSX2 (or some just do) most people (not counting the noobs that aren't aware of them) enable them, cause... ??? (there are several reasons, but one is most obvious) Winner gets "Mesa not a zombie cause mesa got BRAINZ!!!" achievement. Ok... not to be completely rude. How should I put it (my English is not my strongest suite), in terms of emulator description, being most accurate or best in terms of code for some people isn't really the best or most practical in terms of usage. Regards.

  7. its funny how people think that request are taken here. PCSX2 has their own forum and website for that. What makes you think that because someone compiled that source and posted it here, the first thing they will do is not go to their own forum or website to read for input on this version, but obviously come here first... sorry, but i had to say it...
