EmuCR:PS2 emulatorPCSX2 SVN r4965 is released. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

  4. @ #1

If you have a Sandy Bridge and things aren't fast enough for you, chances are you're using:

    1 - onboard video
    2 - guetto gfx card.

In both cases no amount of AVX in the world will make things faster for you. Just buy a half-decent gfx card.

  5. Wrong answer, Anonymous #3.

Emcur is for compiling emulators by nicole. This emulator is from www.PCSX2.net. Their own developer site for pcsx2 emulator.

  6. anonymous 4... gsdx avx is fastest than gsdx sse4... my cpu usage reduced using it from 15 or 20 percent... and with sse4 is 40 or 50 percent in same game... so avx is very better for cpu load... temperature lower (because lower cpu usage) and low consumption...

and i have one gtx 460 card...

    Gracias!!

  9. pcsx2 1.0.0? that would mean a fully stable emulator... dunno how ready it is to reach such a version yet

  10. Version 1.0 does not mean "perfect" or even fully stable. It's just another official release. The best I could say one that is good enough that they MAY leave it at that and call it "a day" if they wish. Nothing all that special if you follow these subversions.

Also @ Anon 8, there are differences. Assuming you know to read and are smart enough to know where to look. Now if those changes aren't enough for you, well, nobody gives a fuck. ;) Cheers.

  11. Gentlemen, I call your attention to this, I do not know how it organizes the plugins for PCSX2, but in reality there are a lot of people including all Linux users, we would like to move the source code of the GSdx to OpenGL, and it's the best plugin that exists at the moment, and so the emulator operation would equal on both Linux and Windows, because the time to create a free Software for everyone, we think of each and that means Windows, Linux and Mac, everyone should have the same opportunity.

    Thanks!
