NintendulatorNintendulator 0.975 beta (2010/12/24) is released. Nintendulator is an open source Win32 NES emulator written in C (plus some assembly optimization). The original goal was to emulate the NES down to its hardware quirks; though it's fallen behind over the years, recent builds have caught up once again and can emulate certain behaviors most other emulators neglect to handle. However, this emulation precision comes at a price - a 1500MHz (estimated) or faster CPU is required to emulate at full speed.

EmuCR: nullDCnullDC optimized SVN r127 is released. This is an optimized build. nullDC is an open source Sega Dreamcast(DC) and NAOMI videogame systems emulator for Microsoft Windows. nullDC runs several Dreamcast games at good speed, with full sound and music. NullDC requires the latest version of Microsoft DirectX, the latest Visual C++ runtime libraries and optionally WinPcap for modem emulation. As usual for emulators, a dump of the original console BIOS is also needed. It has a plugin architecture, with several alternative implementations (some ported from Chankast) for graphics, sound, reading games burned to CD-ROMs (it cannot read GD-ROMs directly) or disk image files, memory cards, etc.

EmuCR: Game Categories LightGame Categories Light v1.1 for 6.20 TN is released. Game Categories Light is the successor to Game Categories Revised. It aims to provide a simple and well integrated category feature for 6.20 TN users, by applying the most hackish amount of patches this plugin ever had. It extends the original foldering feature (which is only capable of foldering everything by it's expiration date). A 'By Category' feature is introduced in to the options, and it is defaulted to whenever you enter the game menu. An 'Uncategorized' feature shows up for any uncategorized games/homebrew. As a nifty extra, it shows the type of game/homebrew it is, and it's current firmware limitations, as a subtitle.
