DOSBox-X Git (2026/05/22) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.
DOSBox-X Changelog:
* Apparently the reason OS/2 Warp was not acceptable, was a bug fix in 2025 that attempted to emulate a wraparound quirk for 16-bit LDS/LES instructions, however that fix was not quite done correctly. Correct that emulation. OS/2 Warp boots now
* According to IBM PC/XT/PCjr source code, the BIOS sets up stack at boot at 30:xx which may vary, but PCjr clearly uses 30:80. Add -zeromem BOOT option to zero all DOS memory before booting, in case the bootloader needs it. Apparently neither fix makes the OS/2 Warp kernel "acceptable".
