DOSBox-X Git (2026/06/11) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.
DOSBox-X Changelog:
* Well, I tried to re-enable vertical breaks in Windows, but apparently Windows 11 has some strange bugs when InsertItem() is called to add them (MF_MENUBREAK or MF_MENUBARBREAK) and looks awful.
* Mac OS menus: Still cannot figure out how to alight text left and shortcut right, so just make the shortcut a different color in the meantime
* Ah, unlike Windows, Mac OS 10.5+ provides NSMenuItem methods to explicitly hide menu items
* Finish Windows menu revisions that allow the hide status to work
* winAppendMenu reduce copy-pasta code, cleanup
* Windows menu handling: Use GetMenuItemInfo/SetMenuItemInfo instead of ModifyMenu. Map hidden status to !enabled status for now, so hidden items are at least disabled. Update menu refresh_item() so that it can be used to modify submenus as well as items, even though the Windows API does not allow associating resource IDs with submenus. Fix some calls to hidden() that do now call refresh_item().
* hide() and refresh_item()
* Merge pull request #6346 from maron2000/vs_buildfix
* Use windows-2022 image for ARM64 build
* Merge pull request #6345 from maron2000/direct3d11_test
* Fix VideoTTFMenu valid only when TTF output is enabled
* Fix build error of menu related changes
