DOSBox-X Git (2026/08/25) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.
DOSBox-X Changelog:
* Merge pull request #6481 from ozy24/savestate-cross-platform-abi
* Update CHANGELOG
* dos_files: translate savestate mount paths to the host separator; a Windows-authored state otherwise restores a localDrive with a backslash in its basedir
* dos_mscdex: fix infinite loop in POD_Load_DOS_Mscdex when the savestate's CD drive count exceeds 255 and wraps the uint8_t loop counter
* dos_files: make savestate Opts a fixed-size POD; unsigned long is 4 bytes on Windows and 8 on Linux, so the Dos component cannot cross platforms
