PCSX2 SVN r5538 is compiled. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.
fs-uae v2.1.23 is released. fs-uae is a multi-platform Amiga emulator based on UAE/WinUAE, with a focus on emulating floppy-disk and CD-ROM based games. An important feature of the emulator is that it is fully controllable with a gamepad from your couch, with an on-screen GUI, which means that you can easily swap floppies and load save states with your gamepad. fs-uae is well suited to be started from an emulator frontend running on a HTPC, for instance.
Pokopom PSX Pad Plugin SVN r108 is compiled. A XInput input plugin for PSX/PS2 emulators, and as of r48 nullDC 1.0.4 too. Pokopom is a PSEmu Pro pad plugin that emulates a DualShock1 and DualShock2 controller for PS1 and PS2 emulators respectively. It only uses XInput, so as to avoid the DirectInput troubles with X360 controllers.
PPSSPP v0.6 is released. PPSSPP is a fast and portable PSP emulator for Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux, written in C++.
DOSBox SVN r3815 is released. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD. However, it is not restricted to running only games. In theory, any MS-DOS or PC-DOS (referred to commonly as "DOS") application should run in DOSBox, but the emphasis has been on getting DOS games to run smoothly, which means that communication, networking and printer support are still in early development.
History.dat v1.48c is released. History.dat is a searchable & comprehensive database which provides a WIP list of known antique & modern arcade games, casino games & coin-operated machines, including: arcade video games, pinballs, slot machines / pachislots, pachinkos, bat games, bingos, gun games, bowlers / shuffle alleys, jukeboxes, musical instruments, trade stimulators, fortune tellers, strength testers, kiddie rides, redemption games, allwins, working models, vending machines, pool tables, viewers, shockers, scales & more...
Virtual GameBoy Advance v3.9.41 for Android is released. Virtual GameBoy Advance (VGBA) is a program that emulates Nintendo's GameBoy Advance on your computer. It runs GameBoy Advance games on PCs, PDAs, or just about any other sufficiently fast computer. It also helps debugging GameBoy Advance software without using a costly development system.
WinArcadia & AmiArcadia v19.2 are released. AmiArcadia and WinArcadia are multi-emulators of these Signetics-based machines: Emerson Arcadia 2001 console family (Bandai, Emerson, Grandstand, Intervision, Leisure-Vision, Leonardo, MPT-03, Ormatu, Palladium, Poppy, Robdajet, Tele-Fever, Tempest, Tryom, Tunix, etc.) (1982);Interton VC 4000 console family (Acetronic, Fountain, Interton, Prinztronic, Radofin, Rowtron, Voltmace, Waddington, etc.) (c. 1978);Elektor TV Games Computer (1979); PIPBUG-based machines (Electronics Australia 77up2 and 78up5, Signetics Adaptable Board Computer, Eurocard 2650, etc.) (c. 1977-1978);Signetics Instructor 50 trainer (1978);Central Data 2650 computer (1977);Malzak 1 and 2 coin-ops by Kitronix (c. 1980) (preliminary); and Galaxia and Astro Wars coin-ops by Zaccaria (1979-1980) (preliminary).
MAME Plus! v0.148 r5061 is compiled. New version of this MAME Emulator for Windows. MAME Plus! has many features to make it a great unoffical build.
DeSmuME SVN r4494 is compiled. DeSmuME is an open source Nintendo DS(NDS) emulator for Linux, Mac OS and Windows. DeSmuME supports save states, the ability to increase the size of the screen and it supports filters to improve image quality. DeSmuME also supports microphone use on Windows and Linux ports, as well as direct video and audio recording. The emulator also features a built-in movie recorder.
RetroArch v0.9.8 Final is released. RetroArch is a multi-system emulator for Linux, Windows, Mac OS X and *BSD. It is formerly known as SSNES. Its design and background is quite different than most other emulators as RetroArch does not implement an emulation core itself. RetroArch talks to libretro, a generic emulator core API. This means that RetroArch is core agnostic, and it does not care which emulator core is running.
Sysinfo.dat (2013/01/25) is released. SysInfo is a datfile to be used in MESS frontends. It contains info on (many of) the emulated systems, including a brief history and some usage notes.
PPSSPP Git (2013/01/27) is compiled. PPSSPP is a fast and portable PSP emulator for Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux, written in C++.
MESS SVN r20521 is compiled. MESS(Multi Emulator Super System) is an open source emulator which emulates a large variety of different systems. MESS is a source-available project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.
MAME SVN r20523 is compiled. MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. When used in conjunction with images of the original arcade game's ROM and disk data, MAME attempts to reproduce that game as faithfully as possible on a more modern general-purpose computer. MAME can currently emulate several thousand different classic arcade video games from the late 1970s through the modern era.
Gearboy Git (2013/01/27) is compiled. Gearboy is a Nintendo Game Boy emulator written in C++. The emulator is focused on readability of source code, but nevertheless it has good compatibility. A lot of effort has gone into this in order to follow OOP and keep it as simple as possible.
