Email UsPinMAME v3.6 are released. PinMAME is a Multi-Arcade Pinball Machine emulator for Windows. PinMAME emulates the hardware found in almost every solid state pinball machine created from the earliest days of CPU-controlled machines (mid 1970's) through 2014 (Stern SAM), with around 770 emulated unique Pinball machines and many more clones/revisions (overall more than 2700 sets).
WinVICE r45469 is released. WinVICE is a program that executes programs intended for the old 8-bit computers. The current version emulates the C64, the C128, the VIC20, all the PET models (except the SuperPET 9000, which is out of line anyway), the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610).
MAME4droid (0.274) v1.21 is released. MAME4droid is developed by David Valdeita (Seleuco) as a port of the MAME emulator by MAMEDev and contributors. It emulates arcade games and systems like ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, MSX etc. This version of MAME support over 40000 different ROMs.
CpcAlive v1.18 is released. CpcAlive is a programmation environment Amstrad CPC compatible.
Retrom v0.7.4 is released. A centralized game library/collection management service with a focus on emulation. Configure once, play anywhere.
SheepShaver for Windows (2025/01/31) is released. SheepShaver is a MacOS run-time environment for BeOS and Linux that allows you to run classic MacOS applications inside the BeOS/Linux multitasking environment. This means that both BeOS/Linux and MacOS applications can run at the same time (usually in a window on the BeOS/Linux desktop) and data can be exchanged between them. If you are using a PowerPC-based system, applications will run at native speed (i.e. with no emulation involved). There is also a built-in PowerPC emulator for non-PowerPC systems.
BasiliskII (2025/01/31) is released. Basilisk II is an Open Source 68k Macintosh emulator. That is, it enables you to run 68k MacOS software on you computer, even if you are using a different operating system. However, you still need a copy of MacOS and a Macintosh ROM image to use Basilisk II.
XRoar v1.8 is released. XRoar is a Dragon emulator for Linux, Unix, OS X, GP32, Nintendo DS and Windows. Due to hardware similarities, XRoar also emulates the Tandy Colour Computer (CoCo) models 1 & 2.
BlastEm v0.6.3 pre (2025/01/29) is released. BlastEm has the goal of being an extremely accurate Genesis emulator while still running on relatively modest hardware by using advanced techniques. Currently it meets neither my accuracy nor performance goals, but those goals are pretty high. Speed and accuracy should be sufficient for most purposes. It runs at full speed on an old first generation Intel Atom and can run Sonic 2 at around 600 fps on a Haswell desktop using a single core. To my knowledge, it is the only emulator besides Genesis Plus GX that can properly display the "TITAN 512C FOREVER" portion of Titan's Overdrive demo, and the only emulator besides Exodus that passes all 122 of the tests in Nemesis' VDP FIFO Testing ROM and can properly display "Direct Color DMA" demos.
WolfMame v0.274 is released. WolfMAME is a build which is optomised for MARP - MAME Action Replay Page, where literally thousands of MAME fans play, save and upload highscore attempts. WolfMAME does not allow the player to pause games, use cheats, change DIP switches etc to gain an unfair advantage.
Nen Emulator Beta v3 is released. A simple and clean™️ cycle accurate NES emulator, written in Rust. Fast, lightweight, and with high compatibility.
ShadPS4 v0.6.0 is released. An early PS4 emulator for Windows and Linux written in C++.
MAME v0.274 for Slackware is released. These are MAME (and tools) packages for Slackware Linux (32-bit and 64-bit editions). MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator.
History.dat v2.74 is released. History.dat is a searchable & comprehensive database which provides a WIP list of known antique & modern arcade games, casino games & coin-operated machines, including: arcade video games, pinballs, slot machines / pachislots, pachinkos, bat games, bingos, gun games, bowlers / shuffle alleys, jukeboxes, musical instruments, trade stimulators, fortune tellers, strength testers, kiddie rides, redemption games, allwins, working models, vending machines, pool tables, viewers, shockers, scales & more...
Mameinfo.dat v0.274 is released. detailed mame game information (including version added, number of players, game status, cpu/audio chips, display info and maws hall of fame ratings). Provides Recommended Games for GameEx.
MAME v0.274 is released. MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. When used in conjunction with images of the original arcade game's ROM and disk data, MAME attempts to reproduce that game as faithfully as possible on a more modern general-purpose computer. MAME can currently emulate several thousand different classic arcade video games from the late 1970s through the modern era.
