Azahar Git (2026/04/07) is compiled. An open-source 3DS emulator project based on Citra.
3Beans (2026/04/07) is released. 3Beans emulates the 3DS at a low level, which means that it runs the entire OS as if it were on real hardware. It can boot the home menu and play cartridge-based games, but it's still young and has plenty of issues. It's currently fully interpreted and software-rendered, which makes it portable but slow. If the project matures enough, I might try to incorporate hardware acceleration or high-level elements to achieve reasonable speeds.
Citron-NEO Git (2026/04/07) is released. A reincarnation of the now gone yuzu emulator; stripped down to the bare minimal requirements.
Altirra v4.50 Test 8 is released. Altirra is an Atari 8 bit Emulator on the Windows/DOS platform. Altirra emulates several models of the 8-bit Atari computers. This includes the the 800, 800XL, and 130XE versions. It has a lot of options, and compatibility is decent especially given the emulator's early stages. It also supports some copy protected games properly in emulation.
Xenia Manager v4.0.0 is released. Xenia Manager is a tool designed to simplify the use of the Xenia Emulator. It aims to make playing games and installing specific game patches more straightforward and user-friendly, while also providing an easy-to-use interface for adjusting Xenia settings. Xenia is an experimental emulator for the Xbox 360.
WinVICE r46049 is released. WinVICE is a program that executes programs intended for the old 8-bit computers. The current version emulates the C64, the C128, the VIC20, all the PET models (except the SuperPET 9000, which is out of line anyway), the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610).
ADAM+ v0.9.04.26 is released. ADAM+ is a modern emulator and development toolkit for the ColecoVision and Coleco ADAM systems, built with Qt6 and inspired by the original EmulTwo project. The software has been completely redesigned from the ground up, focusing on stability, performance, and expandability.
namDHC v2.0 is released. namDHC is a windows frontend for CHDMAN. The program needs CHDMAN.exe in the same directory as namDHC.exe to run - Currently only versions "0.236", "0.237", "0.238", "0.239", "0.240" are supported.
Xenia Edge Git (2026/04/06) is released. Xenia Edge is yet another experimental fork of the Xenia emulator, mainly based on Xenia Canary but with the aim of quicker iteration and improvements to Vulkan backend and Linux platform in particular. Windows of course remains fully supported as well and will benefit from changes made here especially with its Vulkan backend.
Xpeccy 0.6.20260331 is released. Xpeccy is an emulator for ZX Spectrum running on the Unix/Linux OS.
Gearlynx v1.2.6 is released. Gearlynx is a cross-platform Atari Lynx emulator written in C++ that runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, BSD and RetroArch.
VisualBoyAdvance-M Git (2026/04/06) is compiled. VisualBoyAdvance-M(VBA-M) is a [Super] Game Boy [Color / Advance] emulator for Windows, Linux & Mac. Here you can get information about the latest development build of the Windows version and download it while you're at it.
Ymir Git (2026/04/06) is released. A work-in-progress Sega Saturn emulator.
Snes9x Git (2026/04/06) is compiled. Snes9x is a portable, freeware Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator. It basically allows you to play most games designed for the SNES and Super Famicom Nintendo game systems on your PC or Workstation; which includes some real gems that were only ever released in Japan. Snes9x is the result of well over three years worth of part-time hacking, coding, recoding, debugging, divorce, etc. (just kidding about the divorce bit). Snes9x is coded in C++, with three assembler CPU emulation cores on the i386 Linux and Windows ports.
ShadPS4-QtLauncher (2026/04/05) is released. QtLauncher is the official launcher for shadPS4. ShadPS4 is an early PS4 emulator for Windows and Linux written in C++.
Stella Git (2026/04/06) is compiled. Stella is a multi-platform Atari 2600 VCS emulator. The Atari 2600 Video Computer System (VCS), introduced in 1977, was the most popular home video game system of the early 1980's.
