EKA2L1 Git (2026/10/14) is compiled. EKA2L1 is a Experimental Symbian OS emulator, written in C++ 17. The emulator currently emulates Symbian OS's EKA2 behavior (with planned EKA1 support), and reimplement most of its critical app servers. It can already boot many EKA2's apps and games, with EKA1 being worked on at the moment.
DOSBox-X Git (2026/10/14) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.
PPSSPP Git (2026/10/14) is compiled. PPSSPP is a fast and portable PSP emulator for Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux, written in C++.
Caprice32 (2026/10/14) is released. Caprice32 is an emulator of the Amstrad CPC 8bit home computer range. Caprice32 is a software emulator of the Amstrad CPC 8bit home computer series running on Linux and Windows. The emulator faithfully imitates the CPC464, CPC664, and CPC6128 models. By recreating the operations of all hardware components at a low level, the emulator achieves a high degree of compatibility with original CPC software. These programs or games can be run unmodified at real-time or higher speeds, depending on the emulator host environment.
Amiberry v8.4.1 is released. Amiberry is an optimized Amiga emulator for ARM-based SoCs (such as the Raspberry Pi, Odroid XU4, ASUS Tinkerboard, etc.), that brings you the highest performance Amiga emulation. It’s an open-source project, build with the efforts of several people and based on previous work of others.
WinUAE v6.1.0 Beta 18 is released. WinUAE is the commodore amiga emulator for Windows. WinUAE is a mostly complete software emulation of the hardware of the Commodore Amiga 500/1000/2000. A Commodore Amiga, for those who don’t know, is a 16/32 bit computer system based on the Motorola 680×0 CPU and a few specially designed custom chips that provide very good graphics and sound capabilities. Its first incarnation, the A1000, appeared in 1985, followed by the highly successful A500 and A2000 models. WinUAE is a port of the originally written for Unixish systems UAE; but over time, it seems the Windows port, WinUAE has become the best version available on any platform. WinUAE is free software: you are welcome to distribute copies of it and/or modify it, under certain conditions. There is no warranty of any kind for UAE. For more details concerning these issues, please read the GNU General Public License, which describes the terms under which WinUAE is distributed.
EmuHub v1.3.1-beta is released. EmuHub is a single desktop application that brings every emulator you have into one clean interface. Browse your full game collection across all consoles, click a game, and it launches instantly in the correct emulator — no switching between programs, no digging through folders.
Xenia Edge Git (2026/10/14) is released. Xenia Edge is yet another experimental fork of the Xenia emulator, mainly based on Xenia Canary but with the aim of quicker iteration and improvements to Vulkan backend and Linux platform in particular. Windows of course remains fully supported as well and will benefit from changes made here especially with its Vulkan backend.
Supermodel v0.3a-20261013-c65edb1 is released. Supermodel emulates Sega's Model 3 arcade platform, allowing you to relive state-of-the-art 3D arcade gaming as it existed from 1996 through 1999. It uses OpenGL, SDL2, and can run on Windows, Linux, and macOS. It also supports network play on low-latency network connections. The source code is freely available under the terms of the GNU General Public License.
VBoy Color v1.0.0 beta 12 is released. VBoy Color is a free, open-source Virtual Boy emulator. On a Quest headset it shows games the way the Virtual Boy was meant to be seen, in stereoscopic 3D, but in color instead of red on black. On Windows and Linux it plays them in a window, no headset needed, and on Android phones, tablets and handhelds with touch controls or a gamepad. It is also a RetroArch core, for Windows, Linux, macOS and Android.
Supermode Sinden v0.3a-c65edb1 is released. This is a fork of model3emu-code to add native Sinden light gun support. This fork uses ManyMouse to provide 2 player gun support in Linux and MacOSX. Two player mouse input in Windows is currently unchanged (supported in the official release) via the Windows Raw Input system. A Windows package is provided for Sinden border support.
Simple Launcher v5.8.0 is released. Simple Launcher is an emulator frontend that makes playing retro games a breeze.
KytyPlus v4.3 is released. KytyPlus is a KytyPS5-based PlayStation 5 emulator for Windows, macOS, and Linux. This repository is a standalone project derived from KytyPS5 (itself based on Kyty), with additional work focused on iGPU optimization, build stability, and a unified PS4/PS5 dispatch (iGPU behavior is not yet verified; see iGPU status).
KytyPlus Changelog:
Vulkan layer-output shader compatibility
Layer-output shaders now use the core SPIR-V ShaderLayer capability enabled by the Vulkan feature set, rather than the unenabled SPV_EXT_shader_viewport_index_layer extension.
Layer-output shaders use SPIR-V 1.5 and include their live descriptor and push-constant variables in the entry-point interface. Shaders without layer output retain SPIR-V 1.3.
Added regression coverage for SPIR-V validation and Vulkan pipeline creation.
Launcher and CLI configuration compatibility
Legacy launcher configurations can disable FSR without failing because of inherited default output dimensions.
Explicit FSR output dimensions remain validated, and invalid or incomplete dimensions are rejected.
Fixed successful launcher process starts being reported with Qt’s misleading “Unknown error” text.
Added emulator CLI regressions for the discussion #15 argument combination and FSR option ordering/validation.
Windows Unicode game paths
Mounting and resolving game paths now consistently convert UTF-8 strings to native filesystem paths on Windows.
Windows file enumeration and directory operations preserve non-ASCII names, including paths containing characters such as an en dash.
Added regression coverage for Unicode mount paths, guest filenames, directory opens, and file reads.
Compatibility data
Updated Dead Cells (PPSA-15554) to Playable, last tested with v4.1.
Limitations
The shader change has focused validation and regression coverage; it is not a guarantee that every game or graphics driver is compatible.

Altirra v4.50 Test 22 is released. Altirra is an Atari 8 bit Emulator on the Windows/DOS platform. Altirra emulates several models of the 8-bit Atari computers. This includes the the 800, 800XL, and 130XE versions. It has a lot of options, and compatibility is decent especially given the emulator's early stages. It also supports some copy protected games properly in emulation.
