EmuCR:PS2 emulatorPCSX2 SVN r4962 is released. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

PCSX2 SVN Changelog:
r4962
Reverted r4942 as some games need this to work..
Fixes Metal Saga menus and should fix Fahrenheit, too.

  1. Why do they release a new build every time they fix something minor? they can make a significant number of fixes and then release the new build. Just my opinion, no offence.

  3. #1 another retarded user
#2 because it's not a release, releases are 0.9.6, 0.9.7, 0.9.8 and others. SVN = Work In Progress where you can do and undo things, you can fix something, break something, etc. everything is temporary and subject to change. When release is made if you didn't follow SVN you wouldn't even know of part of changes, there would be only stable ones, ones causing problems would be reverted etc.
In other words - you downloading SVNs at your own risk with no guarantees because you can't wait for official release. Big changelog of official release is build of stable positive changes from SVNs.

  7. If guys dont like the emulators here go somewhere else and complain or FIX IT YOURSELVES since your so inclined on saying its fucked up or slow every release. You try developing an emulator and tell me how many things go wrong its called TRIAL AND ERROR people.

  12. i love this quote from MAME FAQ. about adding more and more Hacks, listen up PCSX2 devs they might learn something from this quote.........
---> while maybe appearing to be good in a short perspective, are always bad and destructive in the long perspective. The more hacks you put into the code, the harder it becomes to make new additions neatly as the hacks will require workaround hacks, so you'll end up on a downward slope of more and more crappy hacks, until everything collapses under its own weight. Hack-based emulators typically have a short life because it quickly becomes impossible to debug or extend them.PWNED!!!!!
