PCSX2 SVN r5021

EmuCR:PS2 emulatorPCSX2 SVN r5021 is released. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

PCSX2 SVN Changelog:
r5020
gsdx linux:
* use memory instead of tr1 (was the experimental implementation of c++11)
* remove strict aliasing optimization because I saw some bad warnings
* Fix pthread of the previous commit. Use default attribute but it might need some tuning
r5021
gsdx linux:
* add the code to select the attribute (still the default but can be changed now)
* add a hidden option (condvar) to select between the 2 threads algorithm

    burnout 3 slower? not on my core i7 buddy x58 mobo so get a real pc and play pcsx2 the way it needs to be played!!! Cheers, update already only after 1 week Yeah baby!!!

    JUST tried build ( r5021 ) PCSX2 And I am very VERY happy to say GTA: San Andreas Now plays 97% accurate to the exact PS2 Game!!! UPDATED Are the gfx are now NOT missing on character(s) So friggin AWESOME!!! ( ! ) ( . ) ( . ) There is still overly issues but very small ones the strange image overlays quit after a few seconds. I am extatic man simply FANTABULOUS!!! WTGO PCSX2 Team(s) Superb!!!

    most games are at full speed on my pc except some few of them included burnout 3
    i cant buy i7 its too expensive for my wage
    i have only core 2 duo 3.2ghz 4gb ram ddr2 and nvidia 210 1gb
    i guess i'm gonna re-buy an old ps2
    but i dont get it burnout revenge works better and faster than burnout 3 why?

    btw which vista 64 or windows7 64 better to play pcsx2 on it?
    is directx9 slower than directx11?

    Actually any Vista/Win 7 version will play it pretty much the same, cause you won't see any benefit from having more than 2GB of RAM henceforth even going x86 is viable as PCSX2 isn't RAM hungry. But if you're going to use a system, use Win 7 x64.

    As far as DX versions are concerned, I haven't tested DX11 cause to be honest, I still don't have a DX11 capable GPU, but I can say that for 99% of cases DX10 is superior to DX9, and from what I've heard DX11 is a step up. Newer versions are just a lot more accurate (DX10 version of GSDX was a huge step up from DX9) and also sometimes faster. Regards.

    i have five ( 5 ) pc's 3 desktops two ( 2 ) laptops and all run Win7x64 ULT. need I say more? yeah man, cannot afford core i7 / x58 liquid cooled pc? okay yes, go buy at ebay or craigslist a moded nice ps2 that's the ticket!!!

    dolphin dont emulate ps2...and pcsx2 btw runs nicely on a core2duo 2ghz so dont know what your braggin bout #17

    Yes, actually. Why the hell would you do any of that? One thing is being an enthusiast, other is being plainly spoiled and/or stupid, or to say nicely unpractical and or inefficient. Pardon me if I did offend you with this but let me clarify why I said that in particular.

    P.S. I'm just bored atm.

    1. You're a spoiled stupid kid. Who needs 5 PCs? You can't afford "aforementioned" config, but you can pay the bill for all of those. Also putting Win 7 x64 on all of them says enough for itself.

    2. You're a troll. And if so, nice one indeed.

    3. You really do need 5 PCs (no idea why would someone need that many PCs for HIMSELF ONLY), and then you go and install Win 7 x64 on all of them, instead of using some Linux disto on one, running OSX Lion on one. Just experimenting and having "fun", maybe even get an XP (or DOS).

    4. You're an idiot. How big of one, well pick something from the above and increase it exponentially. ;)

    5. You own/work in some sort of PC shop? Self-explanatory.

    6. Got maybe 2 PCs of your own and a laptop (that's not so unusual). Other PC is for the kids and one is for you wife. Or some variation of it, or one where you don't use all of those most of the time.

    Also, about that DX11 upgrade, there really isn't one, unless you mean "upgrade" as in "I'll buy a new GPU".

    Anyhow, don't take this to heart, as I've said, I'm bored and I wanted to flame you a bit. In case you wish to "add" the right option, please do so. In the end, take care. :)

    P.S. I flame a guy and then "apologize" and explain the reasons for my flaming. I've gone soft, stupid christmas. XD lol

    What happened, didn't get your daily medications? You're so silly like that. In meantime I recommend you go on YouTube and play some PCSX2 "presentation" in 720p (hopefully you can run that) and pretend it's your PC and you're playing it, and just try not to hurt yourself. Cheers! :)

    I think that on this posts we should all talk only about how the new build affects our PS2 games (increase in FPS, compatibility, bug issues) and what PC specs each of us has. Other comments and bitching or trolling etc is unnecessary. But it still happens on each topic.

    if alot are having speed issues why not use the mpeg hack? check to disable all mpeg vids in games and you get a high fps increase..i use it for few games and i get a 10-20fps jump..basically it stops the background processes for vids in specific games hence reduces the amount of things pcsx2 has to do. this works perfectly with alot of games like primal, ff series, gran turismo series and dmc..yes we all want that perfection where plays all games exactly like the console, but if that was the case we would get the console itself to solve the problems..devs work night and day for us so were able to play backups on our pc..they dont work night and day so ppl can bash and disrespect them..they doing theyre best to increase compatability and reduce bugs..i for one have no problem with the emulator..sure there are slow downs here and there but im patient enough for updates and i dont sit here and complain about this or that not working or call ppl names..i post things like bugs i notice or bugs that still exist like black has garbled graphics and ffx-2 still has all vids with lines and bouncy even at native res..but no reason for calling ppl names at all...have a good night devs nice update works nice ty :)

    i really dont like the MPEG HACK because it always breaks tekken 5!!! every time i finish the story mode the whole thing freezes on one frame and then crashes :(
